So, you are to holistically consider your mental state and imagine all the physical and mental stress having kids would make you go through. Most especially, women of this world.

I'm also expecting a first child, and I do feel for our mothers/women, they in most cases go through this children rough play torture alone, while men goes to the street of course to fend for their families.

This is one of the most joyous moments of life - having these little ones around and the innocent mischief they do.

Those who are rather complaining here as if God punished them by giving them children, should pray that God takes the children away from them so they can get the ‘peace’ they want. People just type all sorts of ridiculous stuff here in the name of commenting.

It happens in the western countries.. Since most African parent decided to start copying the whites in bringing up their kids,pistol will be least very soon..

See them up there. Yes, be stupid enough to believe that children are "God's heritage," that they are a "gift from God" meanwhile they carry your DNA. Give birth to as many as you can and then many years down the line transfer your responsibility to the government or your first borns, who will then have to suspend their own life for many years taking care of their younger siblings, all because of their dumb dads and moms.

Na, not in my environment sha. At least here in Nigeria it's far more difficult to legally acquire a gun compared to some states in the US.
Becoming a gun owner in the UK is also difficult I believe. Anyway, I understand your point about parents in the US though. 👍

Even then, an individual must be horrible to leave a gun in a place where it can be easily accessed by a third party without supervision, not to talk of the said third-party being a child. Horrible parenting.

I love those kids' explorative nature.....they are nurturing well.

This is my professional specialty and can confidently tell you that messy play is good for the sensory stimulation in our young ones but must be supervised for safeguarding.

Only one kid can cause more than enough havoc in the home....It doesn't mean it'll have to be plenty kids.....Tho I'm not and will never be in support of having plenty kids.....

There was a day my wife called me at work and was crying. The two boy poured the bag of garri, palm oil, water and raw beans on the rug in the living room, they were busy cooking on the rug.
I beat them that day ehn, I even forgot I was not in Nigeria. That was about 10years ago.

When you know your young ones are all over the place, some limitations need to be created. For example, have the kitchen door locked when direct supervision is not possible, so they are restricted to play in their room or the sitting room.

It's at dis stage dat training begins.... If u don't train them here and say... He is a child... I pity d parent oh....

The problem with Nigerians (since we're here) is lacking of strategic spacing of their kids. Dey give birth like pigs.

Like d ones I saw yesterday, a mother and her children, 4 or 5 kids or so and the highest age isn't up to 10 years. You go think say na 7 days dem take senior themselves. All of them just small.


Birth spacing should be at least 4 to 5 yrs between siblings, so when you're having your third or last child, d older siblings will be a bit mature and less stress to you.

You both are very lucky, they didn't go beyond what you mentioned as we both know that in the West, such could lead children services getting involved, which is the nightmare of many parents.

Omo my papa no born plenty, me self won't do pass myself. I want just 3 children. My elder sister has 4, the last 2 are twins and still babies. If u see the stress they are giving her with tears and the rest. When one sleep, that is when the other will wake. If she carries one, the other one will start crying and the eldest who is 7years isnt helping matters because she likes play pass anything.

My kids broke my 65 inch TV 2x. Will I have them again. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Children are the Heritage of the Lord, I love Blessed Children and I will always love to have them. Children are the Joy to the Parenthood.
