Nope.

He has a firm mandate to take the rate to the sub-$1000 region.
So he'll keep trying.
It'll cost him more money this time around, but he has carte blanche to do whatever it takes.

To back my assertion, he did try to peg the rate through the familiar $10K per BDC allotment this Monday. That had no effect on the market.
The EFCC blocked hundreds of accounts to rattle the P2P segment yesterday. That did nothing as well.

Next week and beyond they'll make new moves.

Ultimately, I'm of the opinion that market participants may make way and let him move the rate to 700 or whatever his target is.
At this point, there will be a speculative attack on the naira. And the foreign investment houses will join in.

A Millennium--the hedge fund--trader made $40M on the Egyptian Pound in March.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-14/millennium-trader-scored-40-million-windfall-in-egypt-fx-plunge

At sub-$1000 (the lower the better) when it is near unanimous that the naira is overvalued, folks like these will join the party, the FPIs will turn off the tap (it's a small club), and Cardi B will be like a deer caught in the headlights.

-Lord

Can you please explain this in a more simpler terms? Just this once.

I'm trying to talk to my installer about that SLTV. If my current DSTV expire I go just buy their decoder, use my current DSTV dish to get their signal and be paying 5k if the football stations are same as DSTV as being claimed.

I'm still making enquiries sha

SLTV is an indigenous satellite TV operator. (They are just like DSTV but promoted by Nigerians). News about it was posted about two months ago on FP and same was posted here.

So I've been seeing people online claiming they have been enjoying it since last and that with N5k sub u will have access to all European football matches shown on DSTV.

According to the little findings I've made, u will buy their decoder (I don't know the price yet) and u can use ur existing DSTV dish to receive signal after tracking the satellite.

I discussed with an installer close to me this afternoon and he promised to give me feedback on it later. I'm waiting for his feedback to know if the whole experience is as sweet as I read online.

Read that they don't have HD channels. Watching football on non HD channels is not a nice experience. I know what I used to suffer when DSTV was always putting Chelsea matches on channel 205 when it was a non HD channel.

Considering the savings of 15-20k compared to DSTV, I don't think people will care much about picture quality.

I myself might not really care about HD or no HD considering the extra savings o. I've watched matches on all those Aljazeera dishes back then in viewing centers and I don't really think it's that bad in terms of quality .

Personally I'm tired of DSTV's indiscriminate hike in prices . I will take any alternative to them at this point. Like I'm pissed with how they just do as they like and then everybody has no choice but to still go back crawling to them.

Been following conversation on twitter and a lot of people are genuinely tired. I don't think everyone is crawling back to them this time.

I just pity people working with them because at this rate, it's only a matter of time before they pack up

There cannot be any work going on in Fubaras Government, this one all his commissioners are still against him. Which of them will be working?

Everybody in that Govt will be filling up their "war chest" from Governor down to commissioner to House to LGA. War is expensive.

IT sector is always expanding. As one downsize, another is growing eg AI is absorbing a lot of techies. That's why you don't see many unemployed developers and software engineers

Why is it on Musk when many companies in Tech in his class are struggling and making losses

People have been waiting for years for Musk to crumble since he decided to stand up to the woke mob and it has become like once you hold a hammer everything looks like a nail

I find that weird too.

But for tech workers, they can easily find work with another firm within 30-60 days after losing their previous job, unlike say, bank workers or realtors. So that fact may skew the aggregate employment numbers

That was what I was telling itsrm the other day. The people of Rivers state will be on the receiving end of this feud between Wike and Fubara .

The respective camps will be focusing on stocking up their war chest while governance in the state suffer . Some parts of the state that should've experienced development will not be developed sef simply cos it falls under "enemy territory " .

Do you see the ceos of the other companies running wild on twitter? Do you know the political views of bezos, zuck and Co?

Who is teslas original customer base? Is it the right wing he is romancing? The rolling coal gang?

As the cybertruck is a much a disaster as the metaverse zuck created a year ago

This is all on musk. He got high on his own kool-aid and now here we are. Your job as a business ceo is to remain politics neutral, do small pandering, get a team to curate anything you post to sm. Not run around shouting cis and sharing conspiracy theories.

As for the cybertruck everything I have read about it comes back to his decisions. It actually feels like his attempt to engage the right, since it is the right that are in love with driving pickup trucks and cos playing as military types. Bullet proof, what blade runner would have driven. Where is the post apocalyptic America you will drive the truck in?

And if I recall the man was also fawning for your adopted countries enemies and mocking zelenesky

That from a so called great intellect who is supposed to be smarter than the rest of us and understand what this is about, reducing a fight against a burgeoning dictator to childish memes

I think this says it all about binance.

Eventually CBN will be able to properly articulate what fraud and theft the platform was supporting

they do not have the DOJ resources, but binance is clearly a well packaged silk road

the moment you have a platform that provided untraceable business transactions - this is where it will inevitably go
