Itsrm: Postpartum blues...lol. To be fair, it was a low blow from the Minister too. Also she isnt asking the question in the right manner. Not sure she totally gets it. In an Infrastructure project of this nature, first, there's usually a preliminary EIA report usually done by an independent party, which she ought to have asked if it was out, then the approval which is usually in phases. The EIA report also gets revalidated. Her question should have focused on what stage they were and not that they didnt have an approval in place. Because to me, her question looks like she's asking if the FG can confirm that a ministry under the FG approved that an FG project can take place?. Even if that was the case, how's she gonna prove it? Except I'm missing something here |

TrebleChamp: The way people chose to politicize the landmark when there were many properties destroyed in the axis. Landmark was not the only beach demolition And with road construction there will always be peoples properties affected Does anyone think 3rd mainland bridge, Abuja to Kaduna road, Lagos Ibadan railway didn't affect people's property? Will govt create new land to make roads? Umahi don tell Obi to stop inciting people with false information when Obi himself as governor demolished property WITHOUT COMPENSATION 2 Likes |

TrebleChamp: I love Southern Nigerians Buhari despite country broke built plenty road for North, even build enter Niger republic A southerner dey there wan build road to connect most of the southern states but no na fellow southerners carry placard for head to protest Later in 10yrs they will say why does North have better roads or infrastructure than us When Buhari dey construct road, did we see Northern opposition like Atiku or Kwankwanso condemn it Amaechi building Abuja to Kaduna rail, no Northern opposition Amaechi building Lagos to Ibadan rail, Na southerners condemn am pass Okay Tinubu carry the money go build Northern road since Southerners are satisfied and have too many roads already |

izzou:Saw the report yesterday and just hiss, ordinary Badagry to Orile road construction has taken 13 years and it's yet to be completed. The Lagos/Calabar coastal road might take 40 years to complete, that is if it isn't abandoned at some point... 1 Like |

raumdeuter:Buhari build road in the North, he didn't build a coastal road from Katsina to Lagos. Hope your Southern President will build and conplete Sango-Ota/Attan road, Sagamu/Benin Road, Benin/Okene Road, Warri/Port Harcourt road and all the major essential federal roads in the South while blowing trillion plus on Coastal roads. 3 Likes |

raumdeuter: So, you now have a problem with Buhari now, after drumming for him for 8 years? And this is you trying to bring a ethnic plot into the whole thing? Are Southerners protesting because they are building a road? The outrage is because we are broke, but we are using 1 trillion naira to build one road. Just one. Does this make any economic sense to you? Buhari don comot, and suddenly e don dey tribalistic. 7 Likes |

TrebleChamp: Is there a coast in Kaduna for Buhari to build coastal road? Abi he will fill water in a bucket and call it coastal road? Did IBB complete or fix Carter bridge before building 3rd mainland? Are all roads in the North in perfect condition before they build Abuja Kaduna road? Was 1st Niger Bridge in perfect condition before they built 2nd Niger bridge? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 8:45pm On May 01 |
izzou: Where do you get that I have a problem with Buhari from? I dont have a problem with Buhari and he did what he could for his people and the entire country while he was doing project for the North he was doing railway for Lagos Ibadan, doing 2nd Niger bridge both important projects for their various region |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 8:49pm On May 01 |
popizaino: Where I live, they dont fix all the roads before deciding to make new ones. Building new roads open up new places Like I said they didnt make Carter bridge perfect before constructing 3rd mainland bridge and we can see the effect on the opening up of the Island from a Maroko slum to one of the most desired real estates in Africa That is what vision does |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 8:51pm On May 01 |
izzou: That is because its Southerners who are more critical of road that will help them more Northern opposition to Buhari, how many of them do you see criticizing the Abuja Kaduna road? What is exactly the point of the criticism? Or we just critiize for the sake of it? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 8:52pm On May 01 |
popizaino: Govt at everytime will repair old roads and construct new ones hand in hand So you want them to stop all construction until all current roads are in perfect condition? That is unreasonable When they finish it dont take it |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:59pm On May 01 |
raumdeuter: Maybe if the Northerners were critical enough to ask Buhari to invest that Niger Republic road money into their education or agriculture, they will be better off today. 1 trillion will fix every Federal road from the SW to the SS and back. Why waste it on one road? Lagos to Calabar - 800km Lagos to Calabar (Coastal) - 700km So just to save us 1 hour of driving, we spend 1 trillion? 10 Likes |

izzou: The main purpose of cutting subsidy is to invest the savings in Infrastructures, The infrastructure is being built, yet a section of the people are still complaining. If 1trillion Naira is too much, how much makes sense to build a coastal road? How much was used to construct a similar coastal road in other countries The importance of what the road will do to those states it covers makes economic sense to me. That was the same way 3rd Mainland did not make economic sense, Ikoyi link bridge does not make economic sense, 2nd Nigeria bridge did not make economic sense, Loko-Iweto bridge does not make sense until it does |
