stfadaanthony: If you take out time to read this thread, you will get an idea on what to do. Hope your course is Masters? POF calculation can be checked on IRCC website (You need to show Tuition for first year, and living expenses for yourself and spouse). 1 Like |

Good morning all. Please which Canadian banks accept GIC for Nigerian Students and is there limit for FX transfer from Nigeria . Thank You 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Daveconsult007: 4:55am On May 16 |
biftech: Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). I'm not sure there's a limit from CIBC, I have seen folks who invested 20-30k CAD. But you need to be careful especially comes to Nigeria banks and CBN restrictions. Jf your dom account was cash fund, you can't transfer more than 10k USD per month ...GIC has a single one-time payment window..no installments 1 Like 1 Share |

You will have to inform IRCC but if you are changing DLI school then you will need to apply for a new study permit abbeybiodun: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 2:56pm On May 16 |
Those are the major documents you will obtain from your office, including a reference letter, and your payslip. is your office in agreement to sponsor your family or just you? If the sponsorship is just for you then you will need to cover your family expenses yourself. olusola2bello: |

So, I created a petition that seeks to end the rip-off IELTS keeps perpetrating with the 2-year validity of their test results, particularly for high scorers who scored btw Band 8-9. Surely, someone who got a band 9 shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't have lost the skill that earned him/her a band 9 after two years. Pls join the petition and let's make this change happen. Share across all platforms, as millions stand to benefit. Lifetime validity of test results! https://www.change.org/LifetimeValidity4IELTSresults 2 Likes |

Hello everyone, this is my first time here. I need your advice. I am currently in the UK, I applied for skilled work permit after my studies(changed from student permit to work permit). I have been waiting for a decision to be made for a new BRP to issued for 4months now, yet nothing from them. Now, I got admission to study in Canada, I and my family already have visiting visa to Canada but I would like to apply for a study permit and SOWP for my spouse. 1. My worry is this, how do I convince the VO that I am not an illegal resident in the UK since my previous BRP is expired and I am still awaiting their decision. What document should I upload to convince the VO about this. 2 . Since my son will be 3 in August and I would most likely to submit the application for study permit around June, which visa should I apply for him. Visiting visa or study permit ( note he is yet to be 3 but will be 3 before I resume studies) Thank you as you guide me on what to do🙏🏽 |

Greetings to everyone on this thread. Please i need assistance. I am an international student of a college in Canada ( already in Canada & its a 2nd course) and would love to bring in my children but Im skeptical of using the direct study route for them. Their ages are;13years, 12years and 8years. Please, my question is , what is the route of application to bring them in for study and also with this new rule limiting college international students, is study application for them advisable? Will look forward to the gurus in the house response. Thanks in anticipation |

Hello everyone, I recently got my study visa, I currently live in the UK with wife and kids. My plan is to visit Canada and start my course for the first Semester while my wife stays back in the UK for few months to continue her work. Please is anyone heading to Fanshawe College for September, 2024 intake ? I will like to share a condo apartment to cut cost before bringing family in. Please signify if your destination is London Ontario. |

You can either apply for a visitor's visa or a study permit. Since they are minors the policy is not applicable to them and they don't need admission. For minors attending primary or secondary school (high school), a study permit is required when applying outside of Canada. check this link for details https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/minor-children.html b4biodun: 2 Likes |
