hey guys,I need advice. recently I have been reading the Bible alot...as in alot,and I have seen the many commandents the Catholic church is breaking....so I left.But I am really scared on telling my Mum and Dad about it. any advice?(am in university yr 2)

No one cares about your religion or your decisions. Use your time well and invest in self development to become a productive member of society.

Continue reading your Bible more and more privately. The Holy Spirit is dealing with your heart and soul privately and this journey is just for you. Wait until after you graduate before you break things open to your parents

You are not yet a Christian. No Christian will caption a post as you do here. I see that you want to be a Christian but you are still very fanatic and narrow-minded probably because of your environment and your young age. May God help you to successfully become a Christian.

Your caption means you see Catholics as non-Christians. No Christian will say such. As a matter of fact, Catholics do not refer to Orthodox people and Pentecostal people as non-Christians. But you who think you are more Christian than Catholics refer to Catholics as non-Christians. This is why the Bible says that he who thinks he stands should be careful to avoid falling.

Reminds me of how concerned i felt about Christians generally, including my parents, after I started practicing and preaching the teachings of Jesus instead of the Bible.

It seemed a mission impossible at the time but here we are 22 years later and still counting.

Jesus says anyone who wants to follow Him must deny himself, take up his cross and follow Him.

So separation is part of the required process to truly walk with Jesus.

I suggest you focus on Jesus' teachings in the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, do whatever He says and it wouldn't matter who is against you, because Jesus will be with you always, even to the ends of the world. Matthew 28:20

Look for a vibrant fellowshipp: RCF, Deeper Life, Winners,etc to attend first to have brethren you can pray with.


Then, concentrate on your personal spiritual growth, this is independent on church now. Download books of faith by Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland , Oyedepo.

Listen to messages from people like Selman, Orokpo, Gbile Akani, etc.


If you must grow spiritually. It is basically you and God. So, don't joke with the Bible. Read and meditate. No other explanation can replace inspiration from the word of God

Seek to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
Thereafter try to speak in tongues daily say an hour to start with.

What exactly is your point when you say I should leave him? Did I say he should not read the Bible? Did I ask him to return to the Catholic? I have not even asked for the errors he discovered in Catholicism. My comment is not about his claim of discovering errors in Catholicism. So, what exactly is your point?

I simply pointed out an error in his reasoning. I clearly explained that it is an error to call Catholics non-Christians. Are you saying that it is biblically right to refer to Catholics as non-Christians?

Till now you've not told us what Jesus's commandments are in the gospel as you said Jesus directed you to do. You've just been leading people on a solo journey.

Catholic is the body of Christ, the church is the body of Christ. So because a 'leaf' fell of its Tree doesn't mean the Tree cease to be the leafs Origin.
You are not making an informed decision, that's why you don't want to tell your Mum. But then again, you are going through a process. You have to touch everywhere to know and understand the "truth" (if there is any).
