They Are Still Honest Nigerians Out There. How I Over Paid Someone ₦2million by Badadvisor(op): 9:19pm On May 28, 2024
Last night I decided to buy pepe coin. So i opened my bybit app and went straight to the p2p section to find a trade that works well with my budget.
I saw one for 1485 per usdt and decided to buy 2 million naira worth of usdt so i can convert to pepe and forget it in my wallet for now.
Unknown to me what the trader posted for sell for $2 usdt but the bybit figures confused me and i thought the total worth was 2 million naira, everything looked perfectly okay.
So i click on make payment and successfully transferred the sum of 2 million naira to him through my access bank.
After about 5 minutes the coin was released.
Then i took a short nap and woke up about 30 minutes later and decided to check my balance hoping to see about 15 thousand dollars worth of usdt but i was seeing only 13k plus, i was shocked and decided to check my previous transactions and that was when I saw it was a 2 usdt trade the seller created not the amount i thought.
Omo my head just spark, honestly i thought the money was gone because i know they are so many scammers on binance, bybit and other trading platforms that create small amount of several trades with lower price for similar scams like this.
Immediately i copied his name and was all over Google trying to see if there's anyway i could get his number to reach him but honestly I couldn't find anything. I searched on Instagram and found few people with same name, i called and texted them on WhatsApp they told me it's a wrong number that they don't know anything about bybit.
I almost gave up, then i immediately contacted bybit and created an appeal and was constantly texting him on the bybit chat after submitting all evidences to the bybit team but no reply for almost two hours.
It was past 1am in Nigeria, I'm not in the country so the time difference between us made me feel I'm being ignored and my money is gone.
Even went on Twitter to write palmpay and access bank 😂😂
After about two hours i got a reply from him, he told he was sleeping and he's going to confirm now and if the money is in his account he's going to send it back. He gave me a number to write him on WhatsApp and call him which i did.
Then he started telling me to cancel the after trade appeal i created, I was scared but i know the trade was over already and if he wanted to run away with the money he can do that without breaking a sweat.
We were writing on WhatsApp and he was telling me about palmpay charge back that he's scared of sending the money so he doesn't get charged back, me i no even know what that means because i don't use palmpay or whatever. We were on a call and he asked me for my account details again and he sent the money live on the call and told me he can't he can't eat what is not his even though the country is pretty hard right now.
Mehn i have never been surprised all my life, he could have easily take the 2 million naira but Nigga sent me back my money.
I appreciated him with 50k but honestly I was kind of feeling guilty that's not even enough. 2 thousand naira over 2 million naira. Omo this one really burst my head. I saved his number and in the coming days, certainly i should send him some more money and move several crypto deals to him from me and my friends.
God bless you Ayo wherever you are.
Mehn sorry for the long write up, we just have to appreciate people like this more often

I'm just happy for you. that been what it may, I am happy to hear we still have people with dignity in this country. such virtue as displayed by that individual is just top notch in today's Nigeria. God Almighty continue to bless him where ever he is. these are the kind of people or persons we need to celebrate.
