I am even looking to change lots of those rules in the society if possible.

But it is the norm for partners in the US and many have being in that situationship for years!

I would not mind if I met myself outside wedlock and most children will not even know if their parent wedded or not.
Kids will be busy with lots of other important stuff to worry about.
