People who use that phrase are those that failed woefully in school and those that couldn't eke a living out of their education.

It's a result of pain.

The richest men in the world are well educated.
The ones screaming that unintelligent phrase still send their children to school. If school was scam, why do they send their children to the same scam school?

What else is there to do? It's called band-wagon effect. But just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean it is the best thing to do. Read Robert Kiyosaki's book named: “If you want to be rich and happy, don’t go to school”.

That's a lie. He said he regretted wasting time in formal schooling b4 writing the book.
If you think about it, much of formal schooling is waste of time. You spend 4 years learning what can be taught in 3 month boot camp, after which you should learn the rest in practice

University education is what condom is to sex. It is for protection but does not really give skills in Nigeria. Skills is the real thing

You can be educated without a degree. Most innovators dropped out from school just to chase a purpose; 99% of the time, school (block study) won't teach you how to think for yourself or how to make money.

Just because I do something doesn't mean it is not a scam. I can see something is a scam but either I have no chance or it is too much trouble to avoid the scam.
Example: I know a person paying N2.5m each for his 5 year old twins to go to school in Lagos. That he's doing it doesn't mean he doesn't recognize it's a big scam!

It may be over rated though. Especially in Nigeria!

My friend stop talking crap. A scam is a dishonest scheme. That you're participating in it doesn't make it less dishonest. If you charge N2m per child and pay your teachers 60K, it's a scam! That I send my kids to your school because there's no better choice doesn't make it less of a scam!

My argument is against that saying so if you did not we shouldn't be arguing.


I'm against the saying school na scam because it is not.
School is the only thing feeding many people today and letting them raise families and start businesses.

See who is talking. You know the monetary system is a scam yet you participate in it. So is the banking system. How about Nigeria as a whole. Your girlfriend could be scamming you as we speak, but you letting her scam you because you love her . You could be scamming a girl you'd leave your wife and marry her - she knows it's a scam but she likes sex... etc
