Ebelebo...

Never liked it much. Plenty used to grow in my primary school as a kid.

It's long I set eyes on the fruit now!

We used to call it almond. I ate lots and lots of it during my secondary school days.

We used to call it free gift of nature cos it was the only fruit in Nigeria that you would never see people selling it in the market.

Just pluck anywhere you see it and eat and nobody would disturb you.

It's called 'almond'. Very sweet and nutritious. I almost lost my life twice plucking this 'fruit' trespassing.

I'll give anything to eat this 'fruit' one more time.

After sun drying the seed, break it, there's one sweet nut inside. Very sweet and addictive.

You know what I thinkhuh

I think our education system failed us if this fruit keeps recycling every now and then. It means none of our textbooks took a picture of a fruit around us for us to know its name. Name does not necessarily mean botanical name. Those who went to schools with Western Education keep calling it FRUIT shocked

Climbing the tree is quite dangerous. Ants and other insects full there and mantis that like to enter person blokos but when you've pluck the nearby fruit with stick and worn out shoes we end up climbing to pluck the ones at the top. The red part just beneath the flesh also gives a sweet sensation.
Fruit and apple are my favourite.

I'm not a good climber. Those days, we usually throw sticks to pluck them and watch them fall like rain grin

It depends on the type and size. Some are big and have flesh.
