LAGOS AREA BOYS

There are several area boys at my bus stop who always hail me each time I am passing.

"Senior man" "Senior man"

"Your face show"

"Show us love naa"

They do this daily. It has become disconcerting.

I ignore them or would wave at them at times.

I am considering giving them something one day.

But I am afraid it may not end and may open a floodgate of bizzare outcomes.

And I don't have funds these days to waste.

These guys sit all day doing nothing

I wonder how they feed.

Maybe God feeds them, for God can do all things.

I know street credibility is cool but...

How do I handle this?

If you start giving them, you are encouraging them to continue and also creating expectation and with time it turns to entitlement and then you and other motorist would be obligated to drop something before you are allowed to use the road. Na that time your eye go clear
