A friend of mine asked me to burrow him money. He told me that he was going through a lot. With the little I have i just dash him a reasonable amount, i told me there was no need for him to pay me back at all .
A week or 2 passed, he asked for another loan. I told him if i have i will give. I am not rich at all and just surviving. Next thing i know. He is calling me or texting me. Now everyday he keep texting and calling. I had to block him for sanity. How do you handle such peeps? I know i am not the only one going through this.

Man, you've gat to have some fvcking balls to say NO to some requests..... Blocking him wasn't the realest deal bro....At least everybody knows how the economy is presently,so if person dash you kobo at this moment, value am,cuz it ain't easy at all..

Unblock the dude. Go to his house and eat his food. If he ask you for money, tell him you are currently paying back a huge loan...
Its not ideal to block people

One of my strategies is to first bill them! Yeah, bill him too. I have a friend who was always calling and asking for a loan. The guy wasn't taking “No” for an answer. One day, I picked up my phone and called him, requesting for urgent 2k.

To cut the story short, he has stopped billing me.

Nobody fit tell you how to stop billing , if Billings touch you really hard, dem no go teach you to say NO

It's simple na, unblock d nigha, tell him u were in deep financial shit, dats y u av not been able to reply him, den bill him back, make him understand he owes u, how u av helped him, now he should do something for u, dat he is ur last home.

Watch as he will japa and not contact u again.

Change your circle of friends.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against helping. But some so called friends are worse than leeches. Once they feel you have small change, they would keep milking you. And the worse thing about such friends is that you can't point what you've ever benefitted from them.

The truth is any friend whom you can't share any financial news with without them billing you or asking you to find them something isn't worth your energy. You buy a new car, or anything and it becomes a problem because you didn't take them out to celebrate it.

I once had friends like that, and believe me I've blocked and deleted all of them.

Your circle should be made up of people whom you can celebrate your small wins with. Without anyone feeling entitled to your efforts.

All these stress over your own money? Once I say no to you, I don't have to explain my reason for saying it. You either take the NO and stay or you bounce. Who needs friends when good dogs are there.

By not keeping companies with struggling friends. I am very good with avoiding people.

First, thanks for being a friend in need. We all need friends like you.

Maybe you can unblock your guy and send him a very short SMS explaining that you can't afford to send him any more money at this time

If he's a true friend, he'll probably understand and calm down. But if he's a die-hard pest, well, at least you now know better.

But don't block him again. Just mentally note the real status of your "friendship" with him

You killed yourself by asking him not to refund. You should have kept that to yourself and if he returns, you ask him to keep for you pending when you would ask of it.
