In addition to what everyone has said above, another reason why most men avoid single mothers is because of the fear of Okafor's Law. The single mum and her baby's father would definitely still keep in touch, because of their child, hence; there is a huge tendency that the baby's dad can still shine the kongo anytime he chooses to, as he already knows the mumu button of the lady.
The only exception to the above is when the baby's father is DEAD.

due to the fact that you are playing both fatherly and motherly roles you may begin to have a boss lady mindset ad often that is transfer to the children. most men dont want to marry someone that would drag head of the family with them so try to retain your feminine side when you finally get a guy.

Another, is just Ego from the man, like why must it be another man’s used toy, especially now when there’s evidence. Then sometimes those single mother are always self centered, it’s always about them and their child. So you will be getting very divided attention. But as long as you have healed and open to love again. I pray you find a man who is genuine and will be true to you.

It’s not … it’s a result of the society you live in . A few men may not mind but family members will frown upon it .
I know some aunties who would ask their kids to call them auntie instead of mum when their boyfriends are around so as to to scare the potential suitor and find an appropriate time to inform them.
There is no magic pill however whomever has primary custody of the child usually ends up bearing the brunt .

In addition to many other reasons some other posters had given above, this is another reason sensible single men without children avoid marrying single moms.
