He just decided to kill and buried an entire country because they settled on a land that God didn't bother to warn them to leave that he has gifted that land to his people?
You can deceive yourself that he is God and can do anything but e cannot do little things to avoid destroying innocent people.

And secondly, do you not know that it is His Land? So if squatters occupy your land you would go looking for another one?
