You may not need SSP since your npk is already equal. You can spray foliar at 4th week. You need to add calcium if you not.using SSP to your plants too.

Noted. Am starting with fungicide that contains 800g/kg mancozeb active ingredient. It will serve as preventive. Then change to another with mancozeb + azoxystrobin.

Fruiting already, could only get foliar MOP, didn't buy though but can it be option if the granular not available at my location? Alternative is potassium Nitrate which i can get and use as dressing? Thanks

Is the Haifa potassium nitrate foliar based?
If it's granular, you can give 15g per plant using below formula every 2 weeks into soil. Don't mix in water. If fertigating, it's a different ball game.

10g of 15-15-15
5g of potassium nitrate

Pricing for yam is never fixed as it depends on size and market price. You can buy a trailer load of yams easily here.

My friend bought her cuke seed from Johnny seeds. They are expensive. Parthenocarpic cuke seeds are usually expensive. But their yield more than makes up for d cost of buying them. The one I bought in Nigeria last 2 years has been discontinued. But East west seeds has a parthenocarpic beit alpha variety in Nigeria called Basimah f1. Very very expensive 1000 seeds cost about 35k. Crazy!

It's now about 190,000 for 1000 seeds

Good evening, I have some cow dung manure, how do I use it for yam farming.

yes it is easily possible,I was discussing with a farmer yesterday and he was complaining that before he use to get 80-100 bags of cucumber per 50 grams of seed but now he is getting 40-50 bags,even at that rate of production 5000 stands will be roughly 150 grams which will be 150 bags per cycle ×3 cycles in a year that will give you a very conservative yield of 450-500 bags,if you use 1500 m drip irrigation which will give you roughly 5000+ crops and Venturi injector,you can apply Fertilizer every 10 days and increase your yield by 30-40%,make sure every cycle you must re till the soil and apply manure as basal before planting, cucumber is the easiest crop to grow,in 46 days you are cashing out.

Sorry for the late reply.
For current prices of seeds, @seedworld or even oga okoroemeka could help you. The 50g pack will suffice for this season and next so ask them for the current price.
Pls make ur research on the type of cucumber, the size that's favoured in your market before planting it.

I'm pro organic so I only use compost, manure and self made liquid fertilizer along side cultured micro organism solution on my crop.

Here on Nairaland you see genuine pple who sell fertilizer and pesticides, so ask them so u can make ur costing based on current prices of these inputs. However, if you're interested in the method of pest control I use, u can email me its quite cheap and easy to make.

For irrigation, I don't know ur method of irrigation (drip or hose?). Anyhow, cucumber needs good supply of water. Wet in morning and at sunset when conditions are hot and once (morning) when humid.

Boss Okoro u can assist him with prices of pesticides and fertilizer
PS: The price of transportation to ur farm is quite high. That will eat into ur cash. Whenever you can stay close to the farm Pls do.
