I planted 1789 cucumber seeds on the 8th of june(I could not buy extra seeds again, so still have some uncultivated beds), about 68 did not germinate. Lost another 100+ 10-12 day oldseedlings to bush rat attack, I had to spray a highly stinky mixture to confuse them, I think it's working so far. They are currently 16days old
Spacing 50cm, 2 row per bed of 110cm, pathway 50cm
Corrections, advice and criticism is highly welcomed

you will definitely have the upper hand if you also use improved varieties or hybrid seeds for high yields,I am guessing that those farmers will be using saved seeds from previous harvest,you can do melon but on a small scale to test the waters,melon cannot and will not be trusted not to misbehave, plant the okra on 1 acre or less batches to ensure continuous production.

Bossman do you have any experience on potatoes farming have about half acre and I want to try it. Although got no experience on it.

Pls who here have tried potatoe farming in south south how was the experience.

How often do you fertigate urea per week

yes, still working perfectly no drip emitter blocked so far,the joy of using fertigation in crops like cucumbers is the flexibility it offers,you can use different fertlizer,compst tea, organic manure,etc,but the biggest surprise was the week we fertigated urea,I cannot believe it is possible for a crop to grow so fast,but the danger is more lush thick foliage and that is not what a cucumber farmer needs,we are drawing a master plan to utilize such result in a leafy vegetable like ugu during the dry season,we have a small control farm of 10 ugu plants that we will fertigate urea and see how nasty it can get.

Please @okoroemeka and other experts in the house. How often can one cucumber with manure tea? I already bought my venturi and have access to wet poultry liter.

My plant population is 3,000 stands. Also, can I use only manure tea though out the growth circle?
