This is a poor country's and Nigerian, specifically Igbo people's problem.

Our people put money at the top of everything and literally worship it. While this helped us rise quickly from the ashes of the Civil War as we are the only group in Africa (I am willing to be corrected here) who got defeated in a war but succedded later by sheer strength without a MAJOR assistance compared to say Europeans (Marshall Plan) or South Korea and Japan (the US assisted them greatly). I think the Vietnamese are the other outlier group. This obsession with money has eroded some human values in our system. If it is not money, then nothing matters. It affects me, so I am no different.

Generally, women are hypergamous, and the more educated a woman is, the higher the hypergamy. So, nothing wrong here. Then combine this with an ethnic group that sees only money and nothing else? That is what you get in a modern day educated Igbo woman. In summary, Igbo men and women deserve each other. We are meant for one another, so the bickering has to stop, and the core issue solved from within.
