Because football is an enjoyable and a beautiful game.
Any altercation there in that place is usually not acrimonious but to showcase superiority of one's club or country. It comes with immense joy to see one's club or country doing well in football. The happiness is too deep.
After that everyone goes back to his usual daily business. Only uncouth ones fight for clubs

Same way women like to gossip in crews, saloon, market place, restaurants. U cant gossip alone.

I don't even like watching football cause I hate the tension in it and my heart isn't that healthy to be watching it...

We watch matches in bars with drinks in one hand, Loud in the other and something in a plate sometimes.

But there must be cold lager and some good loud. No be me dey watch ball with dry throat cos there is always lots of arguing and shouting, so U need to stay hydrated and energized 💪

Exactly. Men could live together in any form and environment amicably for decades. Women can't even tolerate one another for a day without fighting. I remember a day my friend and I wanted to see our HOD for our project. We were waiting for him on the corridor at the department. There was this girll too, who was waiting to see him. She was leaning on the handrails, gorgeously dressed. One girl, who was just passing by, saw this pretty girl and hissed aloud at her . We all were surprised. We asked the girl if they've ever met before and she swore down, that she's never met her in her entire life. Thats women for you.
