It seems you haven't noticed that you will be part if that parenthood, what i see in your statement is someone taking care of my financial liabilities but unfortunately you put parents but didn't project yourself as a parent in that relationship wake up. Your parents were providing for you the kids but in this scenario you will be the one providing for your kids in addition to your husband

Because you are so bittered, you seems not to understand the question. The OP was asking about our partner not parenthood.
Of course, I will provide, support and protect my children when I get to that stage

My dad was a good man, bt my mum, well, she was just herself. She scarred me for life. Till now, i still wake up in d middle of the night screaming, even my wife reported the matter to pastors for deliverance.

I will never ever meet someone lyk my late mom and befriend that person. Never.

* My mum is a nice woman but this issue of church always made us clash back then. I don't want a situation where my wife would be disturbing my peace with loud prayers and everyday church.

Most good mothers are not good wives. I can tell you for free that being a good mother does not translate into being a good wife .

Most mothers are very good to their children because children are their last resort.
They are the one who benefit most from the children when they are old. They build that bond in their children from childhood while the father is busy chasing money to sort out family bills.
