I have also asked you where the bible states that pastors are banned form politics but members should join politics but it seems you have no biblical basis for such a conclusion. No need to argue since you are sharing your personal opinion on why pastors should be apolitical. Goodbye.
Good riddance is a better speak.

This one is busy promoting JW the false doctrine association, I should have known better, Pls do not quote me again, adios.
You can't dictate for commentator here if you quoted me first you can't tell me not to quote so if you don't want to be quoted then shut up just as you said earlier! cheesy

Only Jehovah's Witnesses are doing what Jesus taught that's why none of you here can mention the name of your religion where politics is not causing division and enmity among you! wink

Your response does not answer the question. The question is if politics itself is not a tool for control.
politics in itself is a tool for control shaped basically by the religious beliefs of the participants.

Major reason why true believers in Christ can't be politicians because it will continue to create enmity among them whereas Jesus said they should have love among themselves! John 13:34-35

can you mention one country whose politics is not a tool for control because it is not shaped basically by the religious beliefs of the participants?

The Nigerian church has no influence on the politics of Nigeria because of the doctrine of separation of church and state. They only have money, they have no influence or clout and can determine the outcome of nothing.

Politics belongs to Satan and his cohorts that's why God warned the Israelites in the days of Samuel because if they chose humans to rule over them those rulers have the right to do and undo:

Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
1Samuel 8:10-18 NIV

When David (a womanizer) misbehaved God didn't kill him because he was far better than all his contemporaries when considering anyone for that post as he loves to hold God's sovereignty seriously than anything else yet he has his own personal weakness: womanizing.
Today when most people read about David being the man after God's heart they keep complaining why such a womanizer could have a special place in God's heart!
But what is the difference between Kings chosen by God and worldly politicians?
God's chosen king must subject themselves under God's laws humbly accepting corrections but politicians seek the support of the masses believing they are his power!

A Christian can't be a politician because he must promote whatever the masses wants or behave as if he's not concerned. For instance if a man wants to be president over people who practices homosexuality or lesbianism he mustn't speak against them at all and if they demands he appoints one of them into his cabinet failure to do so means he's jeopardizing his stay in office!
That's why Paul wrote to Christians in Galatia:

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21 NIV‬

You must become friends with people practicing these things to be the man of the people {James 4:4} that's what Satan was inviting Jesus to come and do! Luke 4:5-7 smiley

Ok....can you explain Daniel 2:44 below.

New Living Translation
“During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered. It will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever.

If the kingdom of God is within the believer, what are the kingdoms that we are going to crush into nothingness and how and when will that happen?
A time is coming when there will be a literal kingdom of God on earth where Jesus will reign as king for a thousand years. Satan will also be bound during that period Revelation 20:2-4

Before then we are supposed to be Ambassadors of that kingdom the Kingdom of God. The Bible calls believers ambassadors for Christ in several scriptures. Here are the key ones:

- 2 Corinthians 5:20: "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."
- *Ephesians 6:20*: Paul mentions he's an ambassador in chains, praying to declare the message fearlessly.

Meaning of Being Ambassadors for Christ
Being an ambassador for Christ means
- Representing Christ: Believers represent Christ's kingdom on earth.
- Sharing God's Message: Ambassadors convey God's appeal for people to be reconciled to Him.
- Living as Representatives: Actions and words should reflect Christ's character.

What will happen to all politicians and the earthly governments that we have in power today before christ begins his 1 thousand years reign on this earth?

Nice one provided they're there to represent christ. Beliecers are supposed to be the light of the world. The only challenge is that many only use the church as a cover up. If I herald a guess I can say that 99% of those who enter politics in Nigeria from the platform of church are not really ambassadors of the Kingdom. I wish they were, this country would've been a better place. Without trying to sound like I'm campaigning but a Peter Obi is exhibiting more Christ like politicking than even the reverend so called.

And I'm not just talking about the politicians, the voters themselves that claim to be believers are the biggest tool in the hand of the politicians. Most so called Christians make decisions on the basis of tribe, religion or denomination not the according to Christ like character judgment.

The church would've have been a huge political block to influence our politics and culture. If Nigeria will change it must begin from the pulpit what we preach to the congregation. All this self gratifying, ego building greed motivating messages should be curtailed. Let's preach Christ.
You destroyed your write up by mentioning Peter Obi. It shows that you have a political bias. The church is made up of people therefore you should expect the good and the bad. But the very best are in the church. When you put up a good write up like this stop mentioning pretenders names.

You are actually correct. I thought about it when I typed it and wished it will not be seen as political because of the season. I wish I had to type this after his death. But truth be told, that guy inspires me. He exemplifies what it means to do right even when it appears a stupid thing to do. To swim against the tide. It's a clear sign that you can still be rich doing the right thing. I am not even a Catholic like he is and would've still loved a Muslim that has such values.
