Guys, I just recharge data of 2gb for 2 days by 8pm. Data saver is turned on.

I only watch YouTube shorts then come on Nairaland then sleep off

Only to wake up by 5 am to see message that my data remain 1gb

They just depleted 1gb from my data without me streaming film or anything heavy.

I'm sick and tired of this rip-off

It could be the quality of the YouTube video. Most if not set will go to 720p or 1080p....this drains data a lot. Setting it to 144p for audio or 240 for video will save your data. Another reason could be some stuffs running in the background of your phone. Disable apps connected to internet which u won't be using. It helps a great deal. I also use MTN. I've learned to manage the data like that. Cheers.

Check your settings to make sure your apps they aren’t automatically updating or refreshing. It doesn’t take much to download 1GB if you have many Apps or OS updating to latest version without you knowing. For instance Apple iOS updates alone is about 1GB.

Delete unnecessary apps and Set updates to “manual” or “notify before updating”

Also when watching videos, don’t choose the highest resolution if you are data conscious.

Mtn be ripping me daily. Even monthly bundles don’t last even with low data mode on.

My both sims are MTN, now I dey do budget before I sub.....

I dey even fear to watch Netflix again like this. It's like I lose 1GB per episode of watching.

Data saver on and you are watching video?

I shock as I see the message, I can't anything below 360p on YouTube, unless it's very important, and my network is bad.

MTN is a useless network

It's not my it's you, YouTube is data heavy, you need to lower the video quality to the lowest on YouTube to save data, I browse Instagram all day on low quality without if shifting my data.
