I'm having the same issue I bought another battery same thing. I think it could be my tracker . Coincidentally I came across this thread while I'm waiting for rewire to come help me diagnosis the issue

Fix it before you buy new battery else, the new battery will be drained in 2 weeks

What of if the positive head terminal of the battery was removed, and after three days, the battery won't start?

One component in your car is more active at night.
First, when everywhere is dark, go 360° around your car (check interiors too) to see if any lights are on.
Second Remove the battery terminals before you leave it overnight. If it doesn't start normally in the morning buy new one. If it starts normally, continue troubleshooting...

Questions to ask -
* Did you recently fixed a new accessory? Sound system, tracker, immobilizer, OBD scanner, even a car charger for phone - anything plugged into the electrical port.
* Is there a top rubber cover over your battery terminals? If it gets wet due to condensation in the night, it could be grounding your battery and draining it.
* Examine the spot you always park the car overnight. Is it always cold or wet? This could also lead to the above.
* Is the battery old?? Old batteries struggle more in the mornings because cold nights weaken them.
* Do you leave your headlights on "auto" mode? They could get activated on the night due to aging relays and humidity. Lights are the highest power consumers in a car.

I was stressing myself for months.
Firstly battery charger chop me5k
I got frustrated and bought portable charger.
The moment I crank.even if it charges to 100 percent
It won't hold charge
I didn't stop there .I wasted anther 5k to refill the battery
It help power for just a day and returned back to its shittt.
It was then it dawned on me that all batteries sold in naija are super fake,coupled with the hot climate, short trips,traffic... just dave yourself the stress and buy another battery. For better performance. Pls go for 100 ah battery. It's around 90k to 100k,before it ws like 48k. But Almighty dolla don scatter everywhere. Buy a new battery..either rocket,solite, everstat, etc..100ah and give yourself 2years max. After 2 years from the day u mounted it,be preparing to buy another battery. That's the bitter truth.
K learnt the hard way. I sha thank God I no call any rewire or meko.becos those one go scatter your car. From starter, to its Coil,no its plugs sorry it's nozzles. Ah I forgot it's fuel pump.

This is the best advice. I had the same issue and when I changed my battery I gat plenty peace.

Jokes apart, go buy another battery. Tats the best solution.

Modern trackers uses less power (Sleep mode option) I guess you check with the installer and see if it has this function.

Or it should be wired igntion-switched instead of constant 12V source

Why not try disconnecting one of the terminals every night and reconnect in the morning to check what the issue is. Maybe your boot light or one of the inner lights doesn't go off.

Did you upgrade your infotainment to an android screen recently

If your car is between 2001 to 2005, just remove the battery head before you sleep. But if it's all this latest models, buy a new stronger battery.

As far as the battery is bigger that the alternator, it will remain undercharged


Highest a year, you will start looking for another battery...


You may even be surprised a 60ah battery will serve him better than a 75ah....

If its a 4plug...60ah i ok
If its a v6 and rest.65 ah is just 1 year max.

Call your rewire to check what is on in your car, that is draining the battery down or once u park your car,remove the battery terminal of your car whenever you park it . If want to start your car again then you fixed the terminal back. Even you buy new battery it will drained it too

The day I noticed that my vehicle clock has alarm, I was surprised and have to look well to make sure it isn't set to trigger during the night.

Ur car battery issues lies with either boot,door or interior lights,run a very simple diagnostic test,by pulling out the fuse for boot, interior and door lights one after the other definitely one of the fuse will off the light that is ur problem see ur rewire or electrical technician to fix it

The battery is drained. If it can crank then possibly not drained battery issue cos the vehicle would have start.

Na vehicles that have other issues doesn't start at first crank or second that plugs issue will drain battery.

In this case, there is a parasite sucking the battery.

I might not be, but as a vehicle owner, I have experience. So matters of battery drainage shouldn't be only for mechanic talk.

Just on a light note, your village people are using it to run Uber/Bolt at night or having their town hall in the car, you need spiritual cleansing done on the car....call me for further details

Check the following

1. Are you using tracker and alarm system? Even the consumption maybe minimal, this can't be ruled out entirely, so check on it

2. Is your boot or doors fully closed? This can drain.your battery overnight too

3. Does your radio or multimedia player runs even when the car is turned off, ensure its properly switched off.

4. Check if your parking light knob is at off position

5. Another one that is hidden is your heater, that heats your back windshield.... It's always one of your hidden culprit too... This can be due to stuck relay or bad fuse

If these are checked and still having battery drain, then the next one is to get a thermal camera (Its expensive though) or rent one and use it to check the whole car early in the morning, ensure you don't start the car...: You can spot abnormal heat from components drawing current when they shouldn't, revealing hidden issues like a stuck relay, glove box light, fuse or module staying awake, even when things should be cool and off.

If you don tire to do all these troubleshooting, bro buy a battery isolator (Picture attached) and install it to save yourself the stress... Buy the one that comes with remote and you can attach it to your car key too, it can even work as security for your car too... It's sold on AliExpress or temu for less than 20k

No allow "rewire" come mess up more things in your car or you gonna learn the hard way

No 1. My car security system made me change two good batteries till I found out recently, that the idiot that installed it kept is set as "always on" , instead of to only be On when I turn on the ignition, my brother. God saved me. Till 2day my solite dey sosoliso dey go 😊

It's the tracker, it's always on. Reset the tracker.

Parasitic drain on car battery are usually difficult to find and resolve.
My Solution
1.Check your alternator that it's functioning well
2. Buy a MANUAL CAR BATTERY ISOLATOR, check Jumia and TEMU. isolate your battery when you get home at night
3. Get a small car battery charger to fully charge your battery once on a while, charge your battery only when it's fully COOL.
4. After doing all these, if battery runs down, then get another ORIGINAL CAR BATTERY, let them test the internal resistance.

Just to give u a reminder. Every car made from year 2000 till date,have an inbuilt immobiliser/security.

The moment u open or dismantle your radio,I don't mean the radio head,the radio complete with its casing,the security/immobiliser activates anti theft mode

The moment u remove your battery and reinstall the immobiliser/anti theft activates...that was what toyota and lexus did ...ao the ECU thinks the car is being vandalised..everywhere go lock..
From plugs to coils, to fuel,starter,alternator.
That is no movement.
If you put your key and the security lights keep blinking.. fear not.
Turn te key to position ON five times
Within 15seconds.
The immobiliser would reset ,then try to start groom it would start once.

Wrong .he is a novice. Make he no go buy baytery for small car. Buy 75ah batter with rating of 600+CCA and above,at least 650 cca....It's usually written on the box of the battery nd sticker.. If na v6 .from 75ah upwards if not,e go under charge

Uhmmm 🤔 I'm having same issue too on my Toyota Corolla 012 but I was told it's a parasitic draining so I want to test with my friend battery before calling any rewire coz those guys can be dangerous sometimes when it comes to handling wiring system.

You still need to do the test, I recently had a Mercedes Benz S500 with the same issue and after doing the test it turns out the gateway module was causing that draw, a replacement was bought, vehicle tested and the use
