I literally broke up with a woman last year November because somebody obviously wanted the relationship to end and did just that by sending me the woman's noodles.
I just forwarded them to her and blocked her and the number that sent it to me. I refuse to be caught up in any extortion/blackmail racket.

You don dey talk like say na new news. Person wey hear you go think say na yesterday internet just invent.
Make I ask you, all these plenty talk wey you dey talk, na for who? For the mumu wey don already collect monthly data and dey hunt for clout like lion? Dem no dey read long thing like this. Dem dey chase trend like dog wey dey chase okada.
You dey cry about consequences like say dem no know. DEM KNOW! Na the "consequence" na im be the content. Your "scandal" na their "brand". Your "regret" na their "engagement". You think say na mistake? Na strategy!
Lana story? Na old trailer. Today matter na: "How I use my past scandal buy new G-Wagon." The pikin go grow, see the videos, and the mama go tell am, "See money wey I use train you. No judge me." Na so market set now.
You dey warn people wey their brain don sell for data? You no see say for their eye, your warning na content idea? Dem go screenshot your talk do video with sad music talk say "See how society dey judge us."
The real truth wey pass your own na: Internet no get memory. Internet na BINGE-WATCHER. E dey watch, e dey laugh, e dey share, e dey forget you tomorrow for another trending scandal. You think say you go immortalize? You go vaporize! Tomorrow, another person go do something more stupid, crowd go rush go there, your own matter go cold.
So all this your "future go knock" talk...abeg. Na today's likes dey pay today's bills. Tomorrow na tomorrow. If trouble come, dem go use am do another content: "My Redemption Story." Everything na content circle.
My own advice pass your own: DO THE WORST! TREND THE HARDEST! Make your past so terrible say when e knock tomorrow, e go meet(bouncer) for your door. By then, you don already buy the house wey the door dey for.

Look at Lana Rhoades. One of the most watched adult film actresses in the world. Entered the industry at 19 broke, young, claimed she was manipulated. Today she’s a mother. And now she’s begging for over 400 videos to be taken down because she’s scared her son will see them.
All these parole na market strategy to push her out there and make pple search and watch her .....
they cant beg for their videos to be taken down....because they all know what they signed up for when they were acting.,..........

This is one of the most important post I have seen in nairaland recently.
It makes me remember the good old nairaland that was flooded with intellectuals and erudites, when nairaland was a place of information and learning.
Please keep it up.
Thank you poster.

not just her. Her likes are mentally dull, I'll tell you for free that majority of Nigerians don't know that there's a website called nairaland.
And I'll also tell you that if you were able to find nairaland in twenties and thirties or even bellow, you're 75% smarter!

Sex is the only thing which goes through you children and your god’s minds. The many people murdered worldwide, the properties stolen and humans sold into slavery mean nothing. It’s what the next person does with his/her genitals that concerns you lot.

As kids and teenagers,
We all did stupid things that we regret later

I was born 1995 and my generation did worse oooh . The only difference is that we didn't document it for the whole world to see.

They record and post their crimes online
We do ours codedly and low-key

That us what set us apart
Did worse, how?

Worse, how exactly?

If you were born in 1995, you're still a lad and shouldn't be talking as if you're middle-age person. Na just 3 years separate you from Gen-Z.

Thanks for this! This was exactly the comment I was looking for. Of course they (including Tiwa Savage) know the consequences – they're not naive. they all knew what they were getting into. What people aren't getting is that not everyone has the same moral compass. For some, shame is an alien concept.

The Lana Rhoades he's referring to in his post, What the OP doesn't realise is that she maybe using this for PR move to boost her earnings. Even as a popular adult star, she's still unknown to millions. But this story about her not wanting her son to blablabla.... blows up on popular mainstream sites like Nairaland, curiosity spikes – and that means more clicks, more views, more cash for her 💸.

Like this, I can mention like five adult stars in their forties and fifties whose children (daughters) are now grown ups and are now acting porn like their mother.

Lolz, the OP think say as he dey see life, na so others dey see life . E fit talk this kinda thing for where pornstars dey, them go just dey look am like mumu dey laff.

My brother, you don shine light for wetin dem dey hide for wrapper. You talk true true. All this one na PR cinema. "Regret" na just new market strategy. Na so dem dey package am: "Bad Girl wey don Repent." E sweet for mainstream ear. Dem go carry am for Nairaland, Linda Ikeji, BBC pidgin, traffic go explode. Her "shame" na her new brand ambassador.
You talk am: For some people, shame na like ghost. Dem hear the word but dem never see the thing. Their moral compass no get needle. E dey just dey spin anyhow.
And you correct well-well for that family business matter. Na genetic inheritance! Mama do am, pikin follow. The circle no dey break, e dey PROFIT. Dem no dey hide face ,dem dey pose for cover.
You see the OP dey shout "consequences" like say na punishment. For their world, "CONSEQUENCES" NA PAYMENT ALERT SOUND. Na the beep wey dey sweet dem.

Make I add small thing: The mumu wey dey argue for them online, dem dey use their data argue, dem dey give them free publicity, dem dey even donate their "moral anger" make dem trend...Na all of una dey fund their new Benz. Na una be the real "clout cashout".
So next time you see that kind post, no bother argue. Just SAVE THE LINK. In about six months, when the same person don release "exclusive tell-all documentary" or launch new "empowered" onlyfans, GO BACK DROP THE LINK FOR COMMENT SECTION.
Make dem see say internet really no forget. Na to dey watch how dem go twist again.
You get correct mindset. No be everybody dey for one reality. Some dey for planet "Any Publicity Na Good Publicity." Make we just dey observe dem like National Geographic. No interrupt the predators while dem dey hunt.

Dpsychologist:
A lot of people are misbehaving online today because of Facebook monetisation, TikTok live gifts, clout, and small change.
Many wantto trend and not thinking long-term.

Here’s the problem:
The internet has permanent memory. No delete button. No forgiveness mode.

What you post today for likes will become evidence tomorrow.
What you say today for money will become history your children will Google.

Look at Lana Rhoades. One of the most watched adult film actresses in the world. Entered the industry at 19 broke, young, claimed she was manipulated. Today she’s a mother. And now she’s begging for over 400 videos to be taken down because she’s scared her son will see them.

Sounds human, right?
But here’s reality:
The internet doesn’t care about growth.
It doesn’t care about regret.
It doesn’t care about explanations.

Once it enters the web:

It’s copied
Downloaded
Reuploaded
Monetised
Archived
Forever.

While some people are shouting “exploitation,” others are shouting “hypocrisy.”
And trolls?
They already saved backups.

That’s the cold truth.

This is not about shaming anyone.
This is about consequences.

Before you:

Go live doing nonsense
Say rubbish for engagement
Post things you can’t explain in 10 years
Trade dignity for small money

Ask yourself one question:

Can I defend this when my child, employer, spouse, or future self sees it?

Because your past will come knocking.
And when it does, excuses won’t open the door.

Be careful what you upload.
Be careful what you say.
Be careful what version of yourself you immortalise online.

The internet is patient.
It will wait for you.

Mind what you post, say and comment on the internet, so that you won't get targeted for exploitation, extortion, cyber stalking and harm (be it death threats, emotional or psychological harm)
