Normally with the news I've been hearing about durtty stuff going on during NYSC I am conditioning my mind to expect the worst and remove my expectations. Yes, she's decent, but she's human and can fall for it.



I can vouch for her a bit but not completely because some girls might still be doing it behind you no matter how decent they appear or how serious the relationship is.



And I know fully well how painful it can be when you use your whole mind in a relationship and she breaks your heart, how painful it can be. So actually it would pain me if anything happens, but I have conditioned my mind not to allow the pain to get deep into me. I've lowered my expectations in the relationship, but my mind still dey.

After NYSC if there's no automatic job she would come back , but if there is job offer she would stay except if you have job for her.

NYSC is for one year and you know the type of girlfriend you has in terms of being able to stay without s.,.x. this will determine if she will date someone during this period of one year.

Try concentrate on your job, while you also follow up with her hopping for the best.

I was already in a serious relationship when I went to serve in another state 4-hour-drive away from home. My bf wasn't panicky like you cause I had to serve. It's compulsory.

Yes, there were 'toasters' from my fellow corp members, to the state house of assembly members, to my bosses, the first and second one cause I changed bosses; he was hell bent on dating me, even the NYSC Men and the Military officers. I was resolute.

Here's the trigger. A few days to me traveling for the service, I saw a publication about NYSC Camps and the many ungodly things that happen there. It was so strange to me, I never knew those things happen. (I was low-key ọmọ Mummy) It was disgusting. This helped my resolve to keep to myself. I packed my very bulky novels. They'd be my companion; no friends - male or female. And that was what I did.

You know what? I traveled like it was going out of fashion. I was in Lag most of the time to be with my baby. On Fridays, I'd park my bag to work, and join the bus from there to Lag. I may not return for 3 weeks, spend another week and disappear again. All together, the days I spent in that state out of the supposed 365 no reach 60 days. It was so bad my Batch A members don't even know me cause they hardly see me. They all thought I was Batch B cause towards the passing out, I slowed down a bit.

Your girl may not be into you that much or may not be able to make the sacrifice. Then the roads were much safer at the time. To travel that often is somehow these days. You can visit her if your work is not sensitive and you can afford it. My bf then used to sort me, but it was worth it cause we're man and wife now.

It's 50/50 No matter what any of you does. She may come back or take flight. Good luck to you.

In my case, I got a job offer at the House of Assembly, I got another one to Head a Training Institute. I didn't stay o. Two reasons why I couldn't stay - My mum and my bf. Those two, I don't joke with them.

He is the best man I know, even now. My mum just spoke to me now. We don't see as often as I'd love us to but it's fine. Love them both.
