Hi Poco, nice take as always...I've frequently observed people don't practice what they preach and preach what they don't practice. Reality is based on interest and what works. Most young girls and their age mates under thirty hardly give each other "their best" or and believe in their choices, maturity or readiness etc...people banter it but it's not commonplace and those that did weren't posting they would on social media...the girls can simply accept their mates in any form of commitment that works. I know couples who started out young and grew together. I know a few. A teenager would not automatically be ready because an almost 40yo man decided to impregnate and marry her. We have also seen many of that in reality and how they ended. I have no business with OP's standards, it is his choice to marry a teenager who he plans to train in school. But passing it off as a worthy love story for the girl child is what I won't agree with. It rarely ends well for those girls.

As a man, when you have suffered all your life and eventually make money to be considered marriageable by the greedy female gender, save yourself all the troubles of having to struggle with bearing children by marrying from the pool of much younger girls. If you know that you desire to start having children immediately after marriage, then do yourself a favour by marrying a girl in the age range of 18 to 22. An uncle of mine got married at 42 to a 38years old lady, he's now 62 without a child. His wife is now 58 and obviously reached menopause. Now, imagine if this man had married a girl in the age range of 18 to 22, he would have had all the children he wanted before even crossing the age of 50 so that he could have used his working years to take care of them and help them stand. Now he's retired and without a child! His case makes me sad whenever I remember him because he's a good man by all standards.

Now to the young girls, learn to set your priorities right. As you go through the various social media platforms, don't be deceived by what you read or hear there from those older women discouraging you from marrying older men. In Nigeria today, those older guys are the most eligible for marriage by all standards. They are more financially and mentally stable to handle marriage! Besides, provision for the family goes seamlessly when you are dealing with the far older men!
