Am I Really Your Friend?

These days, I've noticed something funny. Some people only remember you when they need something from you, want to use your connection, or need your contribution to achieve their goals.

The funny part is that most of these people are not even your friends, and you're not their friend either. No calls, no chats, no genuine check-ins. But once they need something, suddenly you're their "guy" or "close friend."

A few days ago, someone who hardly chats or calls me on WhatsApp added me to his friends' WhatsApp group. Deep down, both of us know we're not friends. We barely communicate.

Not everyone who adds you to a group, calls you "bro," or says "my friend" is truly your friend. Some people just want access to what you can offer.

As we grow, let's learn to distinguish between genuine friendship and convenience. Real friends value you even when they don't need anything from you.
Just my observation. No offense to anybody.

The world is too busy right now for anyone to be keeping tabs on who called who first. My WhatsApp is currently filled with unread check-up messages from family and friends. It’s not that I’m snubbing them; sometimes life and work just get overwhelming.

Even my siblings and real friends know the vibes. They can see me online and I won't reply, but nobody takes it to heart. Whenever I'm free, I call them, send them stipends, and once we connect, the energy is always 100%.

Because of all the fake eye-service on social media, I completely stopped posting people's birthdays on my status, and I don't even post my own pictures anymore. I’m just done with "performance love."

If I rock with you, I rock with you, period. You don't need to do gymnastics or act a script to prove your loyalty to me, and I expect the same energy.

If you want to help someone, just help them from your heart. Don't wait for people to come and fake love or pretend before you do good.

Life unfortunately deals with people too much to sustain friendships properly.

That Character is bad . What if who messaged you is dying and urgently need you to do something be it money or something else to save him or her?

Now imagine you need something urgent and you reach out to who will run it for you,and the person ignores your messages and call for days, until you loose the multi million contract.

Change that gutter behavior guy..

Lol 😆 if it’s an emergency or a matter of life and death, you know my number—call me. But if you're just looking for a gossip partner to chat away the day, count me out.

Secondly, let's be real: if I wasn’t alive today, you would still survive. So whatever help I offer you is a choice, not a debt. It shouldn’t matter whether I pick up your call or not. Personally, I don’t feel entitled to anyone’s money or assistance. If I ask you for help and you decline, I won't hold a grudge; I’ll just move on to the next person. Simple. Besides, what if I even pick up your call and still tell you "no"? What changes?

Answering your WhatsApp messages doesn’t guarantee an alert. If I genuinely want to help you, I will do it, whether I replied to your "How was your night?" text or not.

Let me give you a scenario to think about: Imagine you have a brother you chat with every single day, and a friend you barely talk to but have helped in the past. Suddenly, you hit a financial brick wall. You approach both. Your daily-chat brother snubs you despite having the cash, but that "distant" friend remembers your past kindness and drops the money.

Between the two of them, who actually loves you? Make we dey look fruit, no be leave.

Do men really text each other daily?
You just know you are friends and maybe liking each other's post.
It's hard to keep texting that's why we just send emojis....

There is a measure to everything. if Some people want access to what you can offer, you can use that opportunity to your own benefit. It's all wisdom

Just be free 😉

Just make sure the "friend" you choose, choose you too.
Otherwise, you might just be in that "friendship" alone.

Don't you get it? That you chose "your friend" doesn't necessarily mean they chose you too.

The fact that your post makes sense won't prevent me from saying that you're attention thirsty. Let this nonsense about putting your photo on the post stop with this post. You're no longer a small boy.

When you chose your friend, you already screened amongst those who chose you just that you can't choose all of them
