OMG! DBN was the best private TV station for movies then. I also enjoyed their WWE broadcasts on Saturday afternoon, airing as part of their Saturday sports show from 12pm-6pm.
I recall watching a movie about 3 teenage witches (can't remember d name)
I felt clapper board TV, was the best- I had finished secondary school then and I was always bored at home 1993 - so far their was light nah film straight

I just remembered that movie they used to show back then about apartheid-era South Africa, particularly the scene on the Sharpeville Massacre. The part where a child is crying beside the parent who had just been gunned down was particularly haunting.

They show it a lot back then. I wonder if most young people nowadays even know about apartheid.

1. St Moritz advert with tune from Lighthouse family's "Ocean Drive" super track.

2. Rothmans Kingsize with tune from same Lighthouse family hittrack "High"

3. London Kingsize with a baritone voice shouting at random "WELCOME TO LONDON"

cheesy
And I fell inlove with lighthouse family because of these adverts.

Hahahaha. I get all my local news online and on the radio on my way to the office. Strictly cable tv now. It's nothing too brag about. Its too bad. Even if i manage to tune into a Nigerian tv for news (like during the Occupy Nigeria saga), the entire atmosphere - station clarity, background noise, cramp look of the reporting desk etc just put me off.

My heart broke when silver shepard in the soap didn't marry bruce, (I can't remember their names in moonlighting again) and some how, they were able to tailor the story in another direction - the two of them as lawyers and detective were the bomb* they made a young naïve man wish for love*

GOD please let the rest of our lives be far sweeter and better than the beginning. cheesy [/b]

Her name was Cybil Shepard. And I thought she was so beautiful with those blond waves that never looked out of place. Don't even remember how it all ended.

It never did end - NTA just started repeating the same episode till when I got tired- I remember she met another guy after she left for a long vacation when bruce missed the opportunity to tell her at the airport what he felt for her- she gave him an ultimatum and he flunked the opportunity - she came back pregnant with the other guys baby, and that was it - the next thing I saw was bruce willies in Die hard* blowing buildings up-

There used to be one for a pain killer as well which I don't remember now...wasn't a Panadol though.

Or that Classic NTA channel 5 ad that started with Chubby Checker's "come on baby! Let's do the twist" before switching to Onyeke Onwenu's "Iyogogo"
