I expect Brother Siena to beat me handily because he is professional but I will destabilize any other challenger This is just a very very small sampling. I have duplicate tool sin socket and wrenches for both SAE and Metric in all shop sizes. I rebuild engines without needing any tools external to my garage. 3 Likes

Some more but I think e don reach. I'm still afraid for the pros to come in. So part of my garage clean up is cleaning each tool by hand and polish adn isnepctiung for proper operation. Discarding worn ones. Believe me you don't want a bad tool to strip of the head of a bolt or worse slip[ off as you crank on it - ouch. SO you inspect the grooves and get a warranty replacement or buy a new one. There are some more specialty tools like bigger sockets for dealing with crankshaft bolts and such, also another collection of air powered tools. Also cherry picker is out on loan (cherry picker is the engine hoist) and engine stand to hold engine out of the car. Now the piece the resistance is what I used to have but sold, an engine power stand, where you can actually start the engine complete with gauges and stuff. 2 Likes

erico2k2: Yeah Man safety first. I work alone which is really a bad idea so I tend to use many jack stands at once to make sure that son of man no get crushed under car |

But seriously you guys can get all of this stuff now by shopping online and paying with PayPal and having ChinoSXL ship it for you. I can do it for you too but I will charge a small concierge fee. |

oblo: It's what I do for fun (I'm an Healthcare Information Technology Consultant). Some guys go fishing, some go hunting, so golf, some do horse back riding, etc but I just love restoring old chrome bumper cars from Europe and Japan. One thing I hate with a passion is working on something and then stopping because I don't have the tool. So over the years I have collected tools that I need to complete my task. But I'm still small fish though, I have friends that have setup machine shop in their garage, I mean they bore out blocks, rebuild cylinder heads and stuff. One thing that I don't do yet but want to get into is welding. I would love to build a car from scratch one day. 2 Likes

CityNG's tools are intimidating , I didn't see this thread early enough, I only have a caricature of tools- a DMM, a set of screw drivers and spanners, a pair of pliers, a lead soldering iron I bought them sometime ago to work on my Generator set, I use the DMM to carry out electrical designs in my spare time and the soldering iron for soft solid state (electronics) activities 1 Like |
