It all depends on your expectations, location and sometimes the attitudes of their staff. The rude attitude of a staff in a bank can make that bank the worst in Nigeria, e.g. the unruly manner of the HOP of GTB in Asaba has made the banking very frustrating for some customers and considering its the only branch in Asaba is really discouraging.
If you are considering internet banking for individual, I think GTB has one of the best.
If you are considering less hidden charges, First bank wont be a bad idea, but I hate their doors...lol smiley

Are you serious?
Please tell me more.
I dread having any transaction to do with them. Banking hall over crowded, no air conditioners. Customer service so poor. Ecobank sucks

Have you ever been to a bank and spent more time than neccesary?. And the next thing you here after the frustration is 'thank you for banking with us'. Isn't that annoying. To me sure it is. So now if a person wants to open an account, which bank will you recommend without bias?.

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) I recommend FCMB because they are customer focused. Their TAT is second to none. Their FCMBmobile App is simply a Waoo experience - you buy your recharge card, transfer money to other banks, pay your bills, check your balance, etc on the go. Their Internet Banking is in a class of its own - you do your foreign transfer yourself, interact with your accounts are though you actually kept your funds under your pillow- all at an affordable price. Doing transfer to other banks in their banking hall has never been so affordable. Just pay then a visit and find out for yourself.

I use diamond bank, they are great, check out their diamond mobile app its amazingly effective, quick services, attentive customer care but just like most other banks in Nigeria with a strong brand name.
You ought to have banking calendar activity in mind. Salary period, last working day of the month, those are days you see a lot more people in the banks than usual.

The complains u guys make about long queues, slow networks, exorbitant charges, etc is coz ur following d crowed (others r using, let me join).why not opt for banks wit strong base but wit lesser choking crowd of customers (4 ease of transactions - including on line) and fast/ reliable customer service (in or outside the bank)? Unity bank, FCMB r my recommendations. Before I 4get, those having stereotypical views of banks- like pensioners banks, etc should wake up.things r not d same as before, everyone is stepping up. My 2 kobo.

It all depends on the type of service you want. For Payment Guarantees, I think Zenith is great. For International Fund Transfers you could try Enterprise or Ecobank. For retail banking, First bank, StanbicIBTC, Fidelity & Diamond are all good. For local funds transfers, FCMB is your best bet my dear. The ones I wouldn't recommend include GTB, UBA & UNION. I'm very sorry about that

[quote author=SmellMyFart post=26904471]I bank with stanbic ibtc bank currently but i'm considering closing my account there and opening a new account with a different bank. I lost my sim together with my phone. I later bought a new phone and a new sim. Went to the bank and requested a change of mobile number so as to be getting alert on any transaction I make. The customer care said I should put it into writing(letter) which I did but all to no avail. I then went to another branch to complain about it hoping it would be resolved there. To my greatest surprise, the customer care there declined to my request. WHY? she said my account wasn't opened in that branch albeit I have provided every proof she asked for. The bank sucks big time. I think GT bank is your best option.[Guy you make sense]

Diamond,my Bank.com
Diamond Bank is the best bank for business people. U can't beat their SME accts for loans without collateral. They also have the SWAG acct for students and corps members. Lately u will also see their BETA people for petty traders.
But then, Intercontinental Bank was second to none those days

To me ....for my business....I use UNITY Bank, cos they serve my every need. All banks sells almost the same products and services. So why would i stress myself in banks that has too much customers than they can handle. I will rather be a king in a village, than a dog in a city!!!

Zenith bank is the best bank for business guys who want the best of services and world class customer care. No queue, prompt attention, 5mins turnaround time, easy access to facilities provided you satisfy the requirements, and so much more.

The zenithdirect online customer service is currently the best in the industry, no bendgates.

Having its customers best interests at heart all the time, zenith banks charges are transparent, low and pocket friendly when compared with other banks. E.g., you will get your token for as low as N1000 (can you beat that?).

Ever used Zenith bank's eazymoney app? Anyway, just imagine yourself stranded in a village with no internet access or recharge card sellers. All you need to do is dial *966*amount# and your phone will be recharged immediately. Thats a first in Nigeria.

To learn more about how Zenith bank can assist you to grow your business, kindly visit http://www.zenithbank.com/

Is true that zenith bank dont open savings account...that you gave to pay 250k to open an account with them....pls how true is this?
