Going by the missionary zeal with which the out going minister tackled the ebola epidemic,we don't any soothsayer to tell Nigerians that Prof Onyebuchi has acquitted himself honourably before the court of public opinion.We need such people to take more positions of authority in this country.Prof Onyebuchi sure deserve to take a shot at the gubernatorial seat of Ebonyi state but I like emergence from a fairly contested primaries and not this undemocratic consensus arrangement which besmirks of selection where only money bags usually win.

There is strong opposition in Ebonyi state.. Ucha formal ANPP Governor candidate and Ogbonna ONU formal ANPP chairman. So APC is stronger there than ENugu

Elechi has silenced opposition party in Ebonyi, no one hears of them, the only time they were heard/recognized was in Sam Egwu's tenure from 1999-2007. Anyim, Ucha and co gave him tough time.
Now? Ebonyi is a one party state. Ucha has no body movements indicating interest in the Governorship election though.

And who do you think Ebonyians will vote for next year? With his pedigree, personality, international recognition, popularity and achievements no one, but no one can beat Onyebuchi at Ebonyi Guber' elections in 2015.

all from ebonyi central, the governor's senatorial zone. the old abakaliki zone which comprises ebonyi north and central senatorial (the ezza, izzi, ezzamgbo, ikwo and igbo esaa ) has the largest voting bloc in ebonyi state.
Mr onyebuchi is a good man but it's not going to be an easy ride. Mr onyebuchi is from the old afikpo zone which have lesser voting strength. if the opposition party fields a better candidate from the abakaliki zone, then .....

Anyone who doesn't wanna waste his money on fruitless campaigns that won't land him the Governorship in Ebonyi will stick to PDP or nothing.
Because taking Ebonyi away from PDP is as impossible as taking Aso Rock away from PDP.

LOL. Who is gonna vote? The indigenes right? Who's gonna influence the decision of indigenes? Local Traditional rulers, candidate's qualifications and campaigns.

Now we know most if not all traditional rulers in Ebonyi are staunch PDP members, the entire PDP and state practise rotational Governorship just as in Enugu, Ebonyi North has ruled, Central in in charge(Elechi) and now it is Ebonyi south's turn. This rotational governorship is part of what has been keeping Ebonyi politics organized and calm. Do you think Ebonyians who have sticked to rotational Governorship will now vote for a non Ebonyi-South man who will contest?

And if I may ask, talking about qualifications, name one man from old Abakaliki bloc who can win Onyebuchi?
Even though we know voters will be swayed into voting PDP by their traditional rulers as Ebonyians enjoy and love the rotational Governorship because of the peace and understanding it brings.
