Can we ever have a situation in America whereby Gerge W Bush senior retrns to contest for Presidency?

Can we have a situation in Britain the Tony Blair will return to contest for Presidency?

Can we have a situation in South Africa wen Thabo Mbeki will return to contest for Presidency?

Can we have a situation in Ghana where Jerry Rawlings wil returnto contest for Presidency?

Only in Nigeria do we have grannies running for president as former president.

Mischievous questions and you know it. Apples and Papaya comparisons

What link? If you did not watch the debate na you know Youtube may be able to come to your rescue sha. I watched both debates; GEJ shamelessly debating himself and Ribadu, Shekarau and Buhari after GEJ chickened out of the joint one. The clear winner that night was Shekarau if anyone remembers.
Oh you are talking about the 2011 debates, shekarau was the clear winner i agree but buhari did make his points. Anyway i like to judge antecedence over words. Like fashola said yesterday, he didn't see any transformation coming in 2011.

If you can tell me how Buhari intends to get past our ridiculously inept and corrupt law-makers I just might agree with you. He is no doubt a popular candidate and one capable of wresting votes from Goofluck, which is why my preference is for him to use his might to anoint a younger, more vibrant and articulate candidate

Come off this your sermonising about idealism and Buhari anointing a younger person that will not resonate with the masses who are the ones who vote

May i even ask you to suggest who this younger person should be...Tinubu tried pandering to the yearnings of the so-called youths in 2011 by propping up a useless Ribadu that some youths got fooled by in 2011 but he has since traced his steps back to the same party he villified to no end, having shown he doesn't have the pedigree to be different and stand for his convictions

As it stands Fashola,Rochas Okorocha,Oshiomhole,Amaechi,Akinwunmi Adeshina,El Rufai,Donald Duke,Oby Ezekwesili and even Charles Soludo as smart as they all seem and are good materials can not command the kind of votes Buhari will get even if elections were tomorrow

Quit looking for someone who can speak the best English only.......Ibrahim Shekarau who you adjudged as being the best during the debates came 4th while a very clueless individual but with the billions then won

In politics, there are so many factors which are normally considered.......street credibility, popularity and one-time name recognition as it happened in Ekiti in the case of Ayo Fayose( as much as i loath his style) are what can bring in the votes

That is what PDP has been using to systematically hoodwink gullible Nigerians and distract them from the reality of massive looting going on.

If Buhari is sponsoring BH, why has Jonathan not arrested him? Or he is just clueless of his job description?
Gej CANNOT arrest Buhari and you know why.

Buhari does get his idea across, albeit not brilliantly like Fashola does.

Those who understand Hausa language claim he is more articulate and fluent when expressing himself in Hausa language.

on the contrary bro. The families of the 200+ abducted Chibok girls are yet to see their daughters back. The foolsih president jonathan was actually seen dancing Azonto, rubbing his pr1ck on a Hausa womans yansh at a rally in Kano the day after the abduction took place.

The families of the 19 jobless Nigerian youth that got killed during the sham immigration recrutiment exercise are yet to get justice.

According to you Buhari's henchmen made Gejs administration ungovernable yet Gej hasnt arrested and prosecuted anyone of them. Doesnt that give credence to the fact president jonathan is weak and clueless.

The same GEJ that gave Hamzat Al-Mustapha, General Sanni Abacha's hitman a presidential pardon.

The same GEJ that withdrew the corruption charges against Mohammed Abacha, General Sani Abachas Son so that that the latter can contest in the Kano Gubernatorial election under PDP

The same GEJ that has a camaraderie with Ali Modu-Sh eriff the founder of Mohammed Yusuf's Boko Haram
Hey!! Mohammed Abacha was not corrupt. Buhari told us that himself remember? Don't shoot yourself in the leg so soon. Wait for 2015.

Nigeria wants a place in the committee of nations and must act in line with the principles of equity, justice and fairness.

Buhari is a pensioner and must be accorded such regard. Grannies have no business in Aso Rock as former president elect.

Electing Buhari would be retrogressive, even with all of GEJ's failings I would not support an ageing man whose only claim to credibility is 'integrity' from way back in the early-mid 80's when probably half the Nigerians alive right now were not even born.

I don't really doubt his integrity, but clearly we need far more than just integrity at this moment. Buhari's utterances on violence in the North are not exactly palatable (albeit blown out of proportion by the PDP). Nonetheless he is not a suitable candidate - he is from a different era and should be mentoring younger candidates.

I think we can do much, much, better.

You don't doubt his integrity yet you would support someone who believes stealing is not corruption. SMH

GEJ is a disaster only to the extent that he is not a good orator. That much I can readily admit.
As far as performance is concerned he is better than all previous presidents in our recent history and the state governors of the so-called opposition trying to replace him at the centre.

His SYSTEMATIC approach rather than Ad-Hoc, media-friendly-but-yielding-little-results attack on corruption has yielded greater results in the federal administration's delivery of infrastructure that were hitherto budgeted for annually but never done.

Moreover our legislators are constitutionally empowered to investigate and impeach the president, state governor and (I believe) even the LGA chairman just as the US Congress impeached Bill Clinton. For those who may not be aware, our 1999 constitution is almost a carbon copy of the American constitution. Below is an excerpt on Clinton's impeachment by the US House of Representatives =>

More importantly our democratic space has grown significantly under his leadership with greater INDEPENDENCE of the other arms (legislative & judiciary) of the federal government as well as the other tiers (states & LGA).

The big question we should ask ourselves as citizens of this potentially great country is how have we used the expanding democratic space to make our elected public servants more responsive to our legitimate needs.
Exactly. And that is why rats now even dream of defeating an incumbent President in an election. They enjoy the dividends of the transformation agenda in our democratic space yet they'll never give credit to whom it is due.

GEJ has a mandate that he is sure as hell determined to complete. America will send ground force to draw the demarcation line come 2015, which side then has the oil and which side has the arid land?

Since all the past leaders are northerners, Buhari can be president of the North and prosecute past northern leaders. arrant nonsense!

Indeed and especially coming from a Fan of GEJ who is the leader of the ruling Party that saw it fit to present Ayo Fayose as a gubernatorial candidate when the same man had been disgraced out of Ekiti State house in the past and even impeached. The PDP that openly condones criminality is now trying to convince the world that the impeachment of Fayose was "wrong" just so he can become a governor and their 'man Friday' in the SW. We must remember as well that this happened under democratic rule. Where does our friend see similar to that happening outside Nigeria?

I then wonder how the above can be compared to Buhari running now as a candidate in an elective democracy when his first coming was as a military administrator under military rule. This is the problem with TANdroids and Jonathanians. I.e their clannish support for 'Messiah' GEJ that leaves totally disinterested in submitting themselves to the logic of the matter. They will always be found trying to use all manner of mischief and blatantly dubious reasoning to make the crime fit the man.

Dont say what you dont know.......

If Ribadu was sold out in the SW,what stopped him from winning even his state Adamawa and any other state in the North....The fact was that Ribadu's name didnt resonate with the masses(the poor and unlettered folks who dont listen to jingles or read newspaper)

If Ribadu was sold out as you all bandy about, why didnt he leave Tinubu/ACN immediately after the elections but stayed in the same party with his 'slave-master' who sold him out for another 3years and went everywhere with him until recently

Whatever ACN did as regards Ribadu was with his full and express insider knowledge( what most of you dont know is that Tinubu consults very widely before doing things)...........have you ever read anywhere he criticized Tinubu or any other party leader over 2011 elections.......it is you people who are helping him to cry

ACN went into an overnight working agreement with GEJ in order to spite the intransigence of the Buhari camp who didnt want to let go of the VP ticket but promised a 50-50 Ministerial sharing formula if they won.......Tinubu being a smart politician knew that Ministers can be sacked,a situation he feared can render the ACN ineffective hence stood his ground that the VP ticket or no alliance

Ribadu was always in all the negotiations that took place all those times!
