Dadehmola: Janujaz did not give any defensive cover. He was second to all the balls. Good passes went to him but he didn't bother connecting them. We would have been better with Herrera/Mata. The red card didn't allow the coach to make proper adjustments. |

Nihilist: So because Rooney was playing in the midfield means he can't influence the game or take the game by the scruff even score? This thing am saying no start today ooo. Sometimes when a player plays rubbish or an average game but scores, we can forgive that player, but when he does not score and had an average game which is not expected of such a player. It becomes glaring. As for RvP, I just tire.... He is playing his preffered position, still yet we see abysmal performances. I will soon he hear he was not fed the ball. The one wey we give am wetin him do? When I watch a Madrid, Bayern and Barca play, they play like they are looking for something. . . Incisive passes that are to create problems for the opponents. Many might not go thru but they keep on trying it until it gels. We just enjoy passing the ball amongst the defenders like it is going out of fashion. We can't even dominate sef. How does Ronaldo and Messi continually stay fit, playing and influencing every game? |

Maybe the PDP-oppression Man Utd had committed against EPL teams including the top teams in the past seasons during Fergie's reign is catching up on you guys now... --- Karma is a ****** |

BinghiNya: lol. The spate at which our players get injured is alarming. I couldn't see anything serious that happened to Rojo, but he just dislocated his shoulder like that. With Smalling's red card, we are going to have at least two changes in the team going into our next match. That is if Rooney is not injured too. Too bad for the team. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 6:01pm On Nov 02, 2014 |
We played a good game but our courteous approach to proceedings at the start of the game cost us dearly coupled with Smalling"'s moment of madness |

Louis Van Gaal: "I said to the boys that the willpower, the labour was unbelievable. When you can give that, you can be very proud but we have zero points and in sport it is always the goals that count. "We were so close, despite playing with 10 men. We created more chances than in the first half. We were close but not close enough today and we have to improve. "The first yellow card for Chris Smalling, I did not see but OK, the referee gives a yellow card. You know as a player you have a yellow and you cannot do what he did for the second yellow card. That is logical. "I say a lot of things to the players and despite that they do not always follow what I said. There is also emotion and sometimes you cannot control your emotion but it was not very smart." On Marcos Rojo's injury: "The shoulder is out, so you never know how long that takes. I have to wait until tomorrow but he shall not play against Crystal Palace. "We have injuries but we still have 11 players to play and they are very good players. I don't cry for that, but it is sometimes difficult to select the best team. I think I can manage that. "We have to wait and see. I am not a doctor. Maybe tomorrow I know more but I don't think he will play against Crystal Palace. "Michael Carrick was very good, as well as Paddy McNair. I am pleased they showed that but it is disaster - so many defenders are injured and you have to play every week with a different defence. "Despite the result, we are very close. You saw it against Chelsea and now against Manchester City. They are the two best clubs in this league and the difference is zero I think. When you see what we did with 10 against 11 you can be proud as a coach." On the Red Card: "Yes [the sending off influenced the game]. That is always like that. It had a big influence on your opponent but also ourselves. Despite having 10 man we played better in the second half than the first and that is because of the willpower of the team. We created a lot of chances, they fought until the last moment but City had a very good goalkeeper. We are very close but we have to improve. "The sending off is not one of those things. As a player you have to control your aggression. I didn't see the first yellow but the second you know as a player you have a yellow, so you have to handle it differently. I said that to the players. In the derby you have to be careful. The second yellow card was stupid." ................. I agree with Gaal. If we play that way with eleven men against the smaller teams, we should be winning with ease. The players have to rediscover their self belief. |

Nihilist: I really don't want to get into a Rooney argument! Why will I play De gea in the CM, he is a keeper and knows how to hold his own in his preffered position. Please tell me why is Rooney shunted left right and center? What is Rooneys preffered position? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nihilist: 6:15pm On Nov 02, 2014 |
codedguy1: It's very simple. Rooney is versatile enough to do a job across the front lines and in midfield, however it is extremely hypocritical to expect him to pull up trees when being asked to play in the same position as Yaya Toure. Some of you manyoo fans seriously lack objectivity, and it's so nauseating. 3 Likes |

patrickmuf: Truly we played well. It is just that our position in the league doesn't make us take these results. The play is a big improvement on our recent games with City. Possession is 51.5 to 48.5. If we were 3rd on the league we could have taken this result with so much proud considering we played with 10 men. 1 Like |

Will Jones,Rafael,falcao be fit b4 saturday? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 6:43pm On Nov 02, 2014 |
SIRcumalot: I think he did okay. He improved from his last match. Playing with new forwards every time is not easy. Di Maria, Rooney, Herrera and Rafael(overlapping runs) had struck an understanding before they got scattered. Only Di Maria surviving. However, the first time I saw Di Maria having no successful dribble in a match. You know City na Agbegi. Rooney surprisingly had all the dribbles. |

Pointswise. A disaster. Personally I'm done with a whole backline except DDG and Shaw. The rest should be sold and backups should be the kids like Blackett and McNair.LvG is pouring jelly on himself if he doesnt sort out the backline. The fact we havent fielded the same defence consecutively this season is a joke and he needs to sort it out. I really hope he has a plan for January. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 6:57pm On Nov 02, 2014 |
MrTA: McNair is so good with the ball at his feet. He went forward with easy even under tight marking. He made me think Smalling is a joke. Smalling needs plenty space to be able to make a good pass forward. |
