I want to believe it's this same flavor of naivety that has kept you holding unto a more than 35% losing position.

I'll join your bus at NGN 8.00. Please keep a good seat for me.

I agree with you.
The companies in the present case have much better valuations than in 2008, yet the market is moving down down down.
I do not think the problem is from your broker.
We can see many offers for a lot of stocks but no bids.
It seems everybody is trying to exit the market at the same time, so there are many sellers but few buyers.
and who are those few buyers

I Smh for those that are blaming Myjoy08 for their failures. He has always included DD in his stock picks and if you actually did your DD, you shouldn't blame him because you too didn't see it coming. Common sense should tell you that you can't blame anybody during a bearish season, especially one that has a correlation with current happenings around the world or country. The World stock indexes are diving, Oil price is falling and Nigeria being Africa’s largest producer of oil is finding it difficult to defend its currency amid election uncertainties for that matter and some people are blaming one man in NSEMPA for a steep fall in stock prices. Na wa sha... Please if you did your DD as advised, blame yourself. If you did not do your DD and fell hook, line and sinker for any prophecy, prediction or stock pick and still come out here to say rubbish, you should be ashamed of yourself. If I were you, I would go to third mainland bridge and jump.

Once again, Welcome to 2008 saga! grin

Sir, the bear affect everyone and we have been on these road before. I choose strength above fear. So i have nothing to fear or worried about. And i will keep saying it, the detriment of fear have much severe effect when it comes to financial dealing which investment comprises of. As i always stated, one thing that is certain is that stock market go beyond our imaginations or predictions...IT IS WELL!

For instance, the same people that will sell FBNH for N9.96 will come back later and buy it for N18. So nothing to fear or worry about.
what of when you sell at #9.96 and later buy at #4?

Good morning guys, i've gone through the link and these are the salient point fyi cos i know as a Nigerian, we don't like reading lenghty stuffs grin

In our previous report, we firmly advised RETAIL/ORDINARY INVESTORS to be unusually cautious– we advised them to either hold their cash or design a long term approach towards investing in equities. Since then, (15DAYS after) the market has plunged by -12.18%, trading at 34,000bpts. Once again, we would like to re-sound it that no one can say or predict how deep this market may go but it is clear that the correction is gaining stronger momentum day-by-day.

We expect this to be your compass as you navigate against market tide, though our ultimate advice is to stay away from the stock market for now. The correction may hit far above 20%, you are strongly advised to look before you leap.

However, if your risk appetite is above average, we expect you to take position at a very low price as there are strong indications of new lows ahead.
