My 2015 Voters Card Registration Experience by Georgematics(m): 1:51pm On Nov 09, 2014
I read an article were The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) should commence in all local government areas of Kano, Edo, Plateau, Ogun and Imo states from November 7 to 9.

A public Holiday had been declared but till Today November 9, most of us here in Kano have not been able to recieve our cards.
According to my understanding, when you visit the Voters registration center to collect the Card, You have to present the Previous Voters Card received in 2011.

Right now, I am at the Center (the very place i registered 2011) we have been coming here for three consecutive days but only 2 among the 6 polling Units In the Center had been coming to give out the Voters Card.

Unfortunately, we who registered with the remaining 4 polling units that had not been coming are yet to receive our Voters card angry i am just pissed right now due to the waste of time and transport fare. I don't know if they are going to extend it or something. i felt i'm not the only one experiencing this ish.

What are your experiences with the on-going Voters Card Registration Exercises?

have you collected yours? let us know!

if you are yet to collect yours, i will like to know as well...

someone like me dont even bother hmm? I hav since misplaced the temporary card so no need to bother my head over an election PDP already programmed INEC to conduct in their favour. Or how do you explain Lagos of more that 22 million population having 4 million ELIGIBLE voters? meaning only that figure is above 18yrs of the total population? smh. Nigeria.

All the INEC workers attached to each polling center should have been ready before the set date.

it came to a point were I felt the politicians wants to control or politicized even the giving out of voters card but this is so obvious. I'm not keen on voting but at least I felt I had a right to vote so the voters card should be given to me to decide either to vote or not.

I collected my voters card today hassle free. I didn't spend up to 2 minute at the place. In fact I was surprised when my Father called me that my name was being called since Friday. I had to rush to our house to get it.
Things to note:
1. I had lost my TVC since 2011
2. It only required me to fill a form at my center before the PVC was issued.
3. Lots of people at my center had their card issued. Some cards are left at the table for pickup.
4. Judging from my center, I commend INEC for a job well done.

I urge everyone of us that are yet to take their PVC to endeavour to do so. You can't participate in election without it. No matter what, go get your voters card. I have got mine, and I am very sure that the APC have my vote.

Mods, pls can this be moved to front page?! this is a serious issue, people closed up their shops and leave their various places of work to collect this card and most of them got disappointed. let's spread the news, maybe some officials here may clearify us on the issues at hand. Thanks.

Collected my PVC today after service at community road area, okeira, Ogba. Not more than 10 mins. Even misplaced my temporary card. Went with a passport photo and filled a form and collected my PVC. The INEC staff were courteous and nice. My experience.

Mine went like a breeze.
Wt my mistaken idea dat w/o my TVC d PVC won't b issued to me,I had to go to 2locations where I thought I kept d TVC in one of my files.Having fd it,I now had to drive to d other part of lagos where I originally registered.
On getting there(in lagos) surprised to c just few pple(wen I thought I wud meet a crowd), wt 3 INEC staff.Found my pics and name on d displayed registered, told to note d numb against my name, told dem,dey checkd thru their own list,it corresponded, page was opened for me,told to thumbprint against my name after having dropped my TVC& vroom my PVC was handed to me& I left.Didn't take more dan 15mins btw my getting there, checking my pics& name, dropping my TVv,thumbprinting & collecting my PVC.
Guess am amongts d lucky few.

Mine kind of take time before i was given. I got there knowing already we are to go with a passport and fill a form if our temporary card was damaged or misplaced. When i got to my unit (i was still able to remember my unit, even if i misplaced the temp. Card long time ago) so i was ask to wait and let them attend to those with their temp. Cards. I was initialy angry about it, but latter calm my nerves and even assisted the in searching for people's cards and names on the list. I was latter attended to after the unit was free of people. It wasn't that bad although it took longer to get my card.
