Roy Keane puts fan in hospital

Ireland assistant coach Roy Keane was embroiled in a fight with a member of the public at the hotel where Martin O'Neill's team are staying in Dublin. A heated discussion broke out after Keane refused to sign the fan's copy of his recently released autobiography, subsequently leading to a punch-up that ended with the ex-Manchester United midfielder calling an ambulance.

O'Neill and the Irish Football Association have stressed that they remain firmly behind Keane despite the incident.

i totally agree with G Nevile. Blind actually plays too many square balls infact most of our players these days seem to be afraid of making intelligent incisive forward passes.

i have kept on saying that if you watch bayern, real madrid and Barca to an extend they dont dwell on the ball in their half making silly side passes that dont mean nothing, 3 - 4 passes and they are in their opponents final third looking for a through pass on someone is taking a shot on goal.

we lack that, always struggling to keep possession in areas that don't matter. we need to dorminate and bring back the fear factor.

Angel di Maria and Wayne Rooney will be lamenting Manchester United's failure to hit top gear this season after handing back £60,000 Corvette Stingrays to new club sponsor Chevrolet.
Guilty of their under par performances, they have now reportedly taken an unusual step which is perhaps unheard of from footballers.
It has been claimed that Di Maria and Rooney has been left so disappointed with their own performances that they felt the need to return the cars that were presented to them by main sponsors Chevrolet at the start of the season.
Di Maria decided to make such a gesture after revealing that no one in the club were worthy of such a gift, and in good conscience decided to return the car.
