The best thing to happen to Nigeria so far,is the removal of the Arabic inscription on the naira. It is high time the Northern extremists realized that the southerners are increasingly becoming stakeholders in the Nigerian project, and will refuse to be muzzled to the back seat. It is unarguable that Arabic is NEVER a national language, just like the Hebrew language is not either. Therefore,Arabic not being one of our national languages shouldn't have found its way into the naira. Period! |

Biko Built2last, your soooooo on point jare! All these religious fanatics shaa! For me oo, I support the removal of that Arabic inscription or whatever name it goes by. Biko does Arabic writings not connote Islamic religion in some way...abi it's the same as Hausa language? Maybe other religious sects will start asking for N100 to be written in their religious language! All these Hausas/Muslims eh, I don't know why they've sworn Nigeria won't have peace as if it's their fathers' village! Btw,it would be senseless to say they can't recognise the naira note cos the inscription was removed. Even a baby in the womb knows the naira when he/she sees one and actually can say which denomination it is. Biko these people should stop looking for trouble where there is none! Nonsense! |

maclatunji:Pls, tell me who is sentimental? IS ARABIC AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IN NIGERIA!!!! Go and write it down, we will remove all those Arabic inscriptions or what ever u call it, its just a matter of time. All the plans of I.O.C, the lion of the tribe of Judah will bring to nought IJN! Some even claim it's for the Hausas, in a fair country? Are those notes made for one tribe alone? Let them inscribe Yoruba and Igbo languages as well nau. |

gbengadada2004:Sincerely, I suggest that when you claim that you educate people, you should know better You can support or take whatever decision you like, but YOU NEED TO base it on the TRUTH Christians always say - know the truth to set yourself free. But here you are spreading ignorance Arabic/Ajami script was on on our currencies before independence |
Regardless of the bigot laden statements so far on the thread, this remains the main reason why Ajami was used on the naira note, CAN is really working though, through ignorance,it is raising the next generation of lord resistance army fighters, who rather than demand good governance would prefer finding new fronts to fight Muslims. Any nation where people put bigotry and fanaticism before tolerance is doomed to be stagnated. [/quo You spoke very well except that your statement should be directed to the Muslim community. We are the bigots and fanatics and we have stagnated this country. |

Lolarez:I pity this country How can he be on point He blamed the failure to commemorate June 12 this country on the North - Obj was president for 8 years He claims that the North does not love Nigeria - Does Jonathan love Nigeria Have you compared Jonathan's response time to National Crisis (eg Ebola) to his swift response to issues threatening his political aspirations (eg Tambuwal defection) Has Jonathan jailed any corrupt person - where is Maina? do you remember Ndume is of the PDP? His case for link with Boko Haram is being badly handled - so said the judge last week When Maitatsine terror group was ravaging the country in the 80s, the government then routed them frontally Jonathan is blaming the North today - yet some of them gave him more than 25% of their votes |

But u were already taught to commit Jihad on us even when we don't raise a finger against you. But if God be for us, who can b against us? |

If it's not a local dialect and it's not an official language: english or french, scrap it! It's not of essence. Who doesn't know that N100 is hundred naira? Next, someone would want jewish and latin inscrptions on the naira note. The ijaws, itsekiris, efiks and other over 200 tribes in this country have more rights to have their language on the naira note than arabic. |

BetaThings:The dementedness and idiocy of your person smells to high heavens. the golden rule states that you must not do to others what you wouldnt want them to do to you. If Emefiele had removed the inscription and replaced it with a Hebrew writing, We will have the whole north burning by now. Why must the inscription be in the currency in the first place? Is Nigeria not a secular state. Dont allow me face you and expose the northern avarice and monopoly over the years. |
