The gists we read a few months ago was that FG had secured a weapons deal with russia.

........But the seeming snub or nonchalant attitude towards it by its traditional allies has reportedly compelled Nigeria to turn to Russia and China for the training of its military as well as acquisition of military hardware to fight Boko Haram insurgents.

The russian have the biggest plane for this and everybody with enough money can rent such a plane.
There is a company in russia where you can rent such a plane when you need it for the transportation of big goods.

That's is an antonov 225 cargo plane, Wow So It confirms my suspicion after all, Russians are secretly supplying weapons to Chad and Sudan. then boko haram fighters would buy those weapons from those countries. no wonder a top official in Chad was caught supplying weapons to bokoharam fighters......... It now explains Why boko haram weapons are sophisticated...
But my question is this? why can't our intelligence agency uncover this, this is not the first time airplanes are intercepted with weapons at Kano airport, what is the DSS and other security agencies doing about It?.....

Well, I don't believe this is true and will wait for further details from the authorities.

actually the plane had slight issues and since it was on Nigerian airspace it asked for an emergency landing and the normal procedure is that routine checks be done on any plane that enters the country and so it was found...then they impounded it cos of the weapons found...it wasn't deliberately set to be impounded...so it wasn't a stopover
