Ah! telemundo! of course! but why? the movies they do there are pretty boring and i'm always noticing that their lips don't go with what they say. it's rather uncomfortable, because it's like hearing one language, lip reading another, all at the same time. i'd prefer if they spoke their language, then it was subtitled.

OK, i agree. i guess this means i don't know how to talk to girls. which is why i opened the topic in the first place, and comparing them to 3 year olds and birds only proves that i'm supposed to "come down to their level." also, my "high horse" happens to be my iq, something that isn't easily changed, which brings us back to the topic, how do i blend in, what am i supposed to say, what would a normal person do? i know that i don't know everything, but i think it would be an insult to know things like the korean alphabet and not be able to talk to an average nigerian girl. so, i probably shouldn't go technical all the time, i also probably should have made my questions open ended. but isn't that what "normal" less smarter people do? i'm always being accused of arguing, but most of the time, i actually want to KNOW. bros, it's not easy to be a genius. so, pls try to stop viewing me like and arrogant person, and answer my innocent questions.
btw, i wanted to ask the girl to sing a song for me, half seriously, but i was worried i would sound stupid, now that i think of it, that was probably wiser. . .

sheesh... Now I have to explain my simple analogy. I wasn't comparing persons but tactics. Bottom line, you need to be able to use tact. Know what makes sense to talk about and what doesn't, by gauging both the capacity and interest of the person. It's a skill refined by experience and the humility required to learn from it.

I'm not a chauvinist, and do not believe that someone your age would be dumb just because she's female. I've talked to girls without having to explain an analogy like I just had to do with you. If your high horse were intellect, how come my illustration easily flew over it?

You also seem not to realise that the 'genius' you claim simply means your upper intellectual limit surpasses the regular 'high intelligence' limit. It does not mean your lower limit surpasses the upper limit. Don't flatter yourself. Would you find it hard to remember your ABC just because you easily grasp calculus?

Here's the reason I wouldn't give you any tip like I initially wanted to... Maybe this illustration would help you grasp my point.

Let's say you went to play games in an arcade house. Now they have games that require a unique kind of coin. Because you have surplus money, you decide to buy a sack-full of coins. The arcade machines require different number of coins per game. However the one that first caught your attention requires just two coins... Just two! And you have probably up to a thousand identical coins in your sack.

Would you say "Jeez! I have too many coins. How do I go about emptying my sack till I have the two coins I need?"

A normal person would simply bring out two coins and play. If you have a thousand coins, you also have two coins. It's common sense. I'm not going to explain this one. Go figure.

erm, hi, give us the conversation tips, i was actually hoping you would do that without me commenting, but with what you wrote up there? i don't think you will. just give me the tips, my problem is i have no idea how to start or what to say.

Do you know what your problem is? You don't listen to people. I've barely known you for 5 minutes, but that is what i'v come to discover about you.

wow, i know an awful lot. i think that's the real problem. i know so many things! so, so many things! that's why i often ask people what they want to talk about. but these girls give me the lead, then freak out when i remind them what little of the subject they know. as for your advice, i spent a week studying what girls like, it was pretty wierd, boys and jewelry, and music, and events, so i started adapting, guess what? they started calling me a gossip! they also called me a talkative, so i decided to find out what boys say to girls. it turned out most of it was romantic or sexual. there was also humor. now, i'm very funny, but it soon becomes obvious that i have nothing else to offer that they enjoy. i can't help but imagine there's "something" i'm missing. it seems like no matter what i offer girls of my age, they still find out who i really am.
