It looks like the people are gradually awakening. People have started asking questions which less than ten years ago many would have accepted it "whole and sinker ". Of course no thanks to social media and technology. We have started seeing the light after many years of mental slavery. I think honestly the church have a lot to do. Things will never be thesame again. I see Nigeria and Africa in general rising again. Maybe if we are lucky, many will revisit the core African Traditional religion. No nation develop fast outside its culture and traditional beliefs. We may not go a long way throwing away our indegenous beliefs and embracing foreign religion. Orthodox religions of Islam and Christianity have a lot to do. It may be small at first, but with time, someone have to explain.

You will surely live long my friend. I used to be a lone voice in many Nigerian fora along this line of reasoning. I have no doubt in my mind that the scam called Christianity and Islam will become exposed for what it is in less than ten yrs from now in Nigeria. Social media and greed of pastors will leave most Nigerians with no option but accept the truth. That nobody made the world in six days and there is no god who is going to put you through judgement after your sufferings in this hell called Nigeria.

T he first book of the Bible, Genesis, says that God chose Abraham to make into a great nation. The descendants of Abraham, the Jews, would establish the nation of Israel to become a people of God's own possession.God has chosen the Jew to reach out to the world. The bible is full of foreshadowing, an event that happen but God use it to show us what he will do in the future.hosea was a old testament prophet,in that book of hosea the children of isreal always disobey God,and God say he will scatters them and on the third day he will revive them and isreal shall live in my sight. This is a foreshadowing of how God is about to scatter isreal and reach out to the new testament church.

In acts 1:6-8
6 Then they gathered around him and
asked him, “Lord, are you at this time
going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to
know the times or dates the Father has
set by his own authority. 8 But you will
receive power when the Holy Spirit
comes on you; and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the
EARTH.”

God scatter isreal, for 1900 there is no nation of isreal, the scattered isreal became a nation in 1948,why? The gospel has been preach and isreal are about to live in the sight of God (the saints) now that you have hared the gospel, you have no excuse.

Dude, you have turned the whole thing upside down.

First of all the physical Israel is no longer God's chosen nation. They lost that position when they rejected Christ and put him to death.

Physical Israel is not longer in the reckoning as far as God is concerned.

There is a new spiritual Israel that has entered into a covenant which was validated by the blood of Christ.

The said Gospel is still being preached and is not limited to the confines of Israel. It is a Gospel that is to be preached in all the Earth.

God has chosen to make use of mortal men in preaching the good news, hence it should be expected that some time will pass before the task is complete.

That the white men brought the so called Christianity does not mean that that was the true Gospel. Besides, what exactly is the Gospel. It is simply the teachings of Christ with special attention to God's coming Kingdom. How many of the teachings you hear today place emphasis on God's Kingdom. Virtually none. Instead what you hear is miracles and prosperity teachings.

Why did it take such years for the GOSPEL to reach Nigeria?

What a question?!...thinking
Should we blame God?...Absolutely NO!!!
Who should we blame?...Man? I think YES, Man should be blamed.

Here's my reason why I won't & will never blame God for the delay of the gospel. I know one thing for sure...that it cost God nothing to change every living human on earth into his own side, if HE can turn SAUL to PAUL. And guess what, everyone's heart is at his reach...BUT he won't pull everyone's to his own side. He want's Us all to make a our own choice.

Here's the reason why I will blame we men for the delay. I Observe one thing when God met SAUL on his way to DAMASCUS to kill & destroy the GOSPEL...within a second God changed him. But GOD didn't preach to HIM, he had to send him to a place, to a man who will instill...lemme use teach or pass the GOSPEL into him.
THIS WILL TAKE TIME...shabi? Saul no fit know all he knows in one day...he had to learn it. Even God in man(Jesus), while he was on earth had to wait to be trained, learn, filled with power and commissioned before He began His mission.

I WILL SAY GOD WORKS IN HIS OWN WAYS & WITH HIS OWN TIME...GOD ways & things is mysterious to us. It's kinda slow and steady to us.

BUT think about this...I blame men, because those who have receive the gospel early enough are STINGY!!!
This does happen a lot and it slows down GOD'S GOSPEL...in jerusalem after Jesus ascension his disciples were stingy. They never want to leave jerusalem despite his instruction "You will receive power and you will be my witness through out the ends of the earth" But GOD had to scatter them using PERSECUTION...mind You Saul led this.

Even after then, they still become stingy...that's why they face more persecution! In our present time, those who have receive the gospel were like this too...STINGY!
God will create a circumstance/situation to push His gospel to the ends of the earth even if we no wan preach!

The european have the gospel but they no wan bring am come here because they were scared...God create a circumstance/situation/situation(slavery) to bring it in.

And maybe slavery is our own punishment for not going after the light.

The problem is that your blaming God for mans error. God has already instructed us to spread the gospel around the world. Yet there are places on earth till this day that hasn't heard the gospel like China. Now ask yourself is it God that is stopping you from going to China to preach the gospel? This is why God is very angry when we don't preach the gospel because there are potential Christians lost everyday just because of our Laziness. Left to God everyone would be a Christian but he doesn't like to intefer.
China rejected christianity because they know the truth behind christianity(a manipulating religion).
How will a God tell people to go and slay innocent people just to posses other people labour.

The most ridiculous people here are those making fallacious circular arguments. Those that want to proof the existence of god or answer the question posed by ROSSKE by quoting the bible.
It's like a Muslim trying to convince you that Islam is a religion of peace by quoting the quran to prove it. You need external validation not a book that is written to consolidate Christianity itself.....a book that is in the dock if you ask me.

Now if he knows ur end from your beginning and knows the kind of life you would live whether good or evil ,how then do you have a choice to make btw the 2 when he already knws d choice you would make cause he knows all.limits ur choice to one meaning you don't have a choice. And if so y create some1 to come live as evil then in the end punish him in hell knowing fully well u cud save d person by no creating the person ?

Using bible logic.

God created the world in 7 days.
A day in eyes of God is like a thousand years to man.

So, in the eyes of man, God created the world in 7000 years.

IN THE EYES OF GOD, THE GOSPEL GOT TO AFRICA IN 2 DAYS.
In the eyes of man its 2000 YEARS.

Forget the circumstances through which the gospel came into africa.

The circumstances that also made joseph a leader was also pathethic but in the end, he rose and shone his light.

There are some parts of the world that has not heard the gospel.
Chairman,u can lie o,how u take know say 2days=2000years,how u take do that maths.
Even if it took 7000years to create the world,it still does not account for the age of the earth.

It took 2000 years because that's how long man delayed to bring the gospel God had already given to Africa.

Someday, one may ask 'why did it take x years for God to save you?' The answer will be that's how long it took you to realize the truth of the gospel and act accordingly.

You don't get it do you? The fact that it took 2,000 years for the gospel to reach Nigeria from the middle east strongly suggests there is no ''God'' involved in the whole christian charade. That's the point being made. I mean, if we can fly to Dubai in under 5 hours today, how come the Creator of the Universe (for whom human technology must be really really puny) couldn't get his message to us from that region for 2,000 years?

It was either

a) because he didn't consider the message important enough to bother (in which case why should we bother?) or

b) he wasn't involved in any of the stories claimed in the bible.

Which is it?

You've actually made your point, which is trying to prove that there is no God. But that doesnt mean there is no God. That it took the gospel so long to get to Nigeria might just mean there were some resistance to the propagation of it to the area just like there are today. Today there are some countries that forbid the preaching of the gospel to their people. I believe it must have been like that centuries ago as well. God will not come down and force people to accept the gospel or preach by himself, that is how satan operates. God's ways are the opposite of satan's ways. That the gospel even reached here when it did must have been after a very long time of trying.

My greatest question no one has been able to give me concrete answer to and I pray the creator answers me. It goes like this " If God knows the end from the beginning,he knows you before you were born,he knows everything then he definitely knows before you were the kind of life you would live on earth right ? Now cause he knows everything which means he knows if you would be good or evil and you would die as one of them, why punish someone you created knowing fully well the person would be evil ? God can as well save the person from hell by not creating the person knowing fully well the person would end in hell.I know people would answer and say its a choice thing but if choice comes into the equation, it means God doesn't know everything cause choice is when you have to choose btw options and if God knows the option you would choose, then you seize to have a choice.

Your question is one of those huge fish bones in the throat of Christians.....a hot potato question. They can't answer it. They will dance round it forever without attempting to answer it.

Dude, use your brain for once in your life. 2,000 yrs is an approximation. We know it got here around the 19th century, meaning something like 1,867 years or something. And of course there was no 'Nigeria' 2000 years ago, but the territory now known as Nigeria existed, with people living in it, did it not? I mean, maybe it's an IQ problem with you, I don't know...More likely you're seeking to dodge the main question by raising irrelevant strawman arguments. That won't work.

If 'Jesus, the son of God' came to this earth and was born in the middle east in 1 AD, how come it took 2,000 years before this message from ''the son of god'' reached us in Nigeria? And then only when Europeans needed slaves and lands to colonize and loot for raw materials necessary to power their industrial revolution? Are you saying God did not deem it necessary to inform all those millions of Africans that would have lived from 1 AD to 1850 of the glorious kingdom of his son until Europeans decided just a couple hundred years ago they needed to raid Africa and loot resources? Did 'God' really 'postpone' the Nigerian introduction to his 'truth' until such a time as the Europeans needed to conquer and loot our lands, a full 2,000 years down the line, and why?

The ways of this imported 'God' are indeed strange!!

Its quite unfortunate that @ this age, stage and with your level of education, you still resort to our forefathers tactics of countering constructive arguements with insults, racist comments, religious bigoty and enthnocentric thoughts...I dropped a question,if you have no answer or cant criticize, you shut up but instead you call me a Nigger, probably u bleached so u feel white,go to Germany, then you will know we are both Niggers, its quite unfortunate that its people that think and act like you that are piloting affairs of this country,, I went to a catholic school.am very vast in the bible,am sure better than you,,i brought a simple food for thoughts but you start insulting cos u dont have sense...tell me what do pastors say when they are speaking in tongues,?? Have u encountered jinn spirit before?? Do you know the history of christianity?? Why are there so many versions of the bible?? This are many questions are what you should ask yourself, but you choose to blindly follow any religion....Even the europeans that brought chistianity to enslave us seldom go to church, ave been to england before,i witnessed their sunday services, turnouts are always low...they are christians @ hearts that why they are always progressing, but people like you are wicked @ heart and christians @ mouth, that why when someone makes a claim about ur religion, instead of investigating,u fire back..i dont have ur time brother,,go and garner knowledge den come back so we argue constructively
