The same way an Emeka showed up to collect "Omo Onile" money from me in Lagos. I angrily reminded him this is not Nnewi!

Some people sef.

Can't remember ever reading a Yoruba group asking for political position in Port Harcourt or Kaduna.

You shock me,I swear....Lagos is just a little section of Nigeria. Yoruba people are not doing anything special for the Igbo because they dont control anything. If I show money to Fashola he will sell me whatever I want. Stop being a fool and wake the fffuck up. You are not in control of anything. Danm!

No we're not. That is why your leaders had to come prostrate to Fashola to re-open Ladipo due to your filthy lifestyle and that is why you do not have to pay tax.

Whataloada tripe!

Nobody is prostrating to anybody because that wont excuse for breakdown of law and thats if there was ever a law in.place. I support Fashola to close the market down if there was a breakdown of law until things are taken care of. And dont even begin to talk about cleaningness. Infact,if I was yoruba I would be ashamed to even open my mouth and call somebody filthy. Your people are famous for being dirty and fetish!

It is absolutely not possible to hate ibo people while at the same time offer them generous hospitality, comfort, support, safe and secured environment for them to thrive and prosper. They don't even get such benefits in back in their own states, town and villages hence rushing to find home and refuge in Yorubaland...

If they really care about Lagos state and the people of Lagos, then start supporting and voting for the APC locally and Nationally. You can not demand recognition where you don't love and support with your votes..

It's not even like they give a damn about Lagos anyways and if I might add, the people of Lagos state care less about your worthless votes to who cares....
Any foreigner who reads this deluded twaddle would think Yoruba land is like some utopian Scandinavian welfare state that has freely catered to destitute Igbos who arrived with only their clothes on their backs. Who would know it's just like any other impoverished area in Africa with tons of people living in squalor - except many of its impoverished indigenes sell off their land to settlers and then get all outraged at the suggestion they're ceding control of the land they're selling. Whatever we get in this state, we work for it. You do not provide any "benefits" whatsoever to settlers. All the settlers do is add to the economy and drive commerce and pay their taxes. People come to Lagos because it's the industrial and commercial nerve centre of the country, with port facilities and a huge market to target. They don't come because they're expecting any benefits from anyone. Benefits from who? Who do you think you're fooling wih your delusional self-flattery?

Porthacourt is not an Igbo land and Yoruba and their investment is too minimal in the east for them to start campaigning for any tangible dividend.
Igbo is not jealous of anybody but we are not happy because the same country we were forced to be part off hasnt done us any good. If we were allowed to leave we wouldn't be here bickering.

As for the main thread, Nigeria's politics is not early mature enough for such considerations. If this contraption is still together a century from now, such may happen yet. But petty tribalism and a political doctrine with no discernible ideology would never seeing us rise above such insignificant details. Otherwise, I can't see how in a sane world, it is wrong for tax payers to demand greater inclusiveness in political decisions affecting them where they live and work. Why would you choose to live as a 2nd class citizen in a place you've made your home?
