If I recall Your Bantu friends were upset with Yusuf and E-soul after they were asked if they saw themselves as Black, and Both E-soul and Yusuf said they don't see themselves as black. The fact I said Bantu history is void of any thing of importance is true, especially when you consider what their fate would be without European intervention. Sure slavery was harsh, but I doubt they would have changed from their Bushmen mentality and being nude into what they are today, somewhat better but still void of any culture and they continue to propagate European culture as they have set them as the foundation of their new nations official languages.

Alright. I get it. What I don't get though is what makes you think Somalis were a more civilized lot than (for example) the 'Bantu' Mandes of West Africa.

Mande peoples created urban centres in Tichit-Walata and Jenne long before any sign of urbanization showed up in Somali territory (as old as 2000BC).

Mande empires: Ghana, Mali, Songhai (which had a dynasty of Mande origin) were by their sheer size and renown greater than anything historians know from Somaliland.

Does anything in Somaliland rival the intellectual output of Timbuktu in Mali, with its libraries and thousands of books on astronomy, medicine, etc, its scholars and its university (the oldest in Africa, south of Egypt and Morocco)?

a cursory internet search will also educate you on how elaborately dressed 'Bantu' groups like the Nupe, the Hausa, the Yoruba, et cetera were in precolonial days.

Each time you say Somalis were more civilised than 'Bantus', I just wanna throw my head back and laugh.
