I met this girl a few months ago. I must admit she is not ugly but she is not the type of girl I would usually go for (look-wise)

But I love her character and her personality. She has a lot of qualities I want in a partner and possibly future wife and I have been trying to work on that and build from there.

The problem I am having now is that she has noticed this and she told me that I have never told her that she is beautiful, pretty or attractive which makes her feel sad because she does not want to be with someone who does not find her attractive and that she deserves better than this.

Is looks really important in a relationship? Can you fall in love with someone's personality and be content with that. Am really trying my best to make it work but it seems like whatever I do/say just seems to hurt her.

I really like this girl a lot. She has everything I want in a woman it's just she is not the usual type I am normally attracted too but she is not ugly.

I think you are being selfish. You are keeping this girl(second option) just in case you do not find the one you want so you can have someone to fall back on.

Honestly speaking free the babe. She deserves to find someone who will love her and be attracted to her for who she is.

Attraction plays an important role in a relationship. If you are not attracted to your partner you will most likely end up cheating on her so there is no point.

What 'type' of girls are you usually attracted to? One thing you must realise is there is no such thing as a perfect partner. You can't have everything, however you should not force yourself to feel something that you are not feeling. If you cannot get over her not being the type of girl you want then it's best you leave sooner than later.

if you're attracted to her; her personality or something else, then she should be beautiful in your own eyes at least. but if you're not attracted physically, then you don't really love her. as much as I know, telling a girl she's beautiful is very integral to her, and if you don't find her attractive physically, if possible let her go
