Imo nvidia is jux a bit better with it's multiple features. The drivers tho amd has caught up a bit is still better. But amd gpus are low priced most of the tym....which for me is the selling point.

presently all current generation at optimal settings

According to notebookcheck.net that GPU ll have a hard time playing most 2014 games even on low. But if u dont mind playing on low FPS, its all good. And wat generation is your i7 btw??

gpu man not cpu...in games the gpu is the most important thing. infact a p4 with a gud gpu (yes there will be a huge bottleneck, however...) can play games much better than an i3 with a weak igp.(well except cpu intensive games like bf3 and total war, which are not much btw)

Have finally fixed it, It wasn't the game. It was from windows 8.1 OS.. Just a minor synaptic connections issue and then restarted my PC and the problem stopped...Call of duty running flawlessly now on max settings and shadow details on. Am so enjoying this PC now.
Currently looking for how to get FIFA 15 and GTA V discs..May have to download it though...Thanks for your concerns

GPU:AMD Radeon HD 8450G
HDD:571GB assisted with external hard disks, of course.

Not really a gaming laptop but she tries her best. At least, I've played almost every reasonable game with her excluding Crysis 3 and Watchdogs which is funny because even battlefield 4 played without lagging, with settings on low.

I took it to an engineer affiliated to a PC shop..he told me it had to do with the synaptic blah blah...He resolved it in less than a minute..I think you should do the same cos I know how frustrating it is

Been 3 Months I started using this Lil Monster..Have had no much serious problems
Every game I've played on it was smooth thanks to the Nvidia GeForce 840M with a 2gb dedicated Memory ...except for the old games that required a windows 7 to operate..Those ones didn't even install sef

Windows 8.1 is still slightly unstable on the PC. I update the windows almost everyday. Buh its still good enough

My battery is amazing, no wonder the PC is called "Energy Star"...It can last up to 5hrs on menial tasks buh it averages 4hrs when carrying out tasks..Graphic Intensive games guzzle the battery that it lasts roughly an hour when playing such games like Medal of honor, Fifa 14 etc

The video playback is pretty enjoyable due to the beats by dre speakers. Tbh I don't really need Sound systems to blast songs unless its a party Buh that's all about the Video playback.. the VLC crashes almost frequently and sometimes, the computer freezes while watching a movie and I have to do a hard restart.. I think it's due to the VLC media player. These days, I use the Beats Video player that came with the PC, and everything has been smooth.

Due to the 1.7ghz processor of the PC, it is a bit slow to resume work after booting it up. But its not bad though, I haven't had to use the booster when playing games.

Well, this is 3months of use...I think it is worth the price..oh btw, I called this my little monster that could, Absoluto bestia

For a mobile gamer like me, the Lenovo Y50 is a muhdafukin beast for as low as $979. I feel Lenovo and Asus make d best gaming laptops

It should be around 40gb (size) Thank God for etisalat cheat and sites with compressed rar files.... I should be able to download it in 24hours non-stop downloading.

But for next generation consoles(ps4 & Xbox 1) November 17 2014 .....They always keep PC gamers waiting

yup... it actually has three other slots where i can fit in 3 other msata drives to make it a super raid.

When those drives become cheap, i will fill up the slots.
