Please guys, i need your help. I traded my Note 3 with new S5 from one of these guys that returned for xmas from yankee. I didn't pay attention to details as this problem i am facing is clearly written on the pack. The guy told me its factory unlocked and a believed him only to find out that its not really... (As it is clearly written on the pack "AMERICAN SIM CARD ONLY" further findings reveal that "to use sim cards from other region, a cumulative call over five minutes must first be made with the sim card from AMERICAN operators. if a sim card issued from another region is used for activation, the phone may not work. in this case, the device will need to be released at the nearest samsung service provider) I am really confused on what to do as the guy has gone back to the states (he is suggesting i send it to him for activation but the cost and time... im without phone at the moment)

Please, my fellow guys... do anyone have a work-around to this problem. im thinking there might have been this kind of problem in the past. please, phone gurus, i need your help.

The phone is region locked. Short term solution i can see is you getting an American network sim that has roaming activated and use it to make the call or send the phone to your friend to do it from there. Cheers

Disabling/Deselecting ? Be clear... Your Signal or Data?

Try a Factory Reset...
Or Reflash a Stock Firmware!

Try update again...

What i meant was that it keeps deselecting and at the point of this,,i cant receive calls, messages even though the network bar is there..the network seem to be frozen @ dat point..i have to now reboot the phone, go through the process of selecting wcdma/gsm in the network mode which still deselect after 15-20mins

thanks for replying but its not working. did you mean Google play store or services. I cleared cache for Google play store but its not still working. now I downloaded another version 5.0.38. but still the same problem

pls house, I used another charger which is 2.0Ah to charge my 2 phones (bcoz the follow come chargers which are 200mAh are too slow-it do take like 1hr to charge 10%) and since then the phones have been misbehaving, it started with self charging with connection to electricity and inability to power it on when off, now when charged to 100% the battery meter will be constant when in use and dropped to 1% at once after like 1hr.pls somebody should help me out.

Why would you replace 200mAh with 2Ah? That's too much!

Besides, what kind of Android device has a 200mAh Charger, na Nokia Torchlight?

it was the charger I bought when the original one got burnt, the phone is Samsung galaxy pocket. I don't know anything about the current of any charger before not until I had this problem

To flash Stock.. Visit www.sammobile.com
Register an account. Click on the FIRMWARE Tab, search your device model and download the latest Firmware version for your device. Download ODIN. Boot into Download Mode and connect your phone. Click on PDA / Phone and select the .tar Firmware file, hold on for like 3mins and click start. Wait till it finishes. Done!!!

Not every game works even if you download the cache.

For your game... the game needs to be verified on the developer's DB/Server to know if you really paid for the game or not. Your game has been verified and it failed. You CAN NOT get it to work.

Wikipedia no longer loads on my fone. It's says no data received and empty error...unable to load page because no server was sent.

When I use Google to search other sites load but not wikipedia. It's really frustrating cos most detailed search are on Wikipedia.

You might be using a proxy that is blocking Wikipedia's ip or the dns server is not getting through to Wikipedia.

So how do I go about it? I have used Google to search and find similar users experiencing the same problem but most often with other sites. I just want to be able to use wiki. At first I thought it was my fone browsers but then I tried using Chrome, opera, uc browser but it's the same can't click any search on wiki.

What's a proxy software or firewall?? I poll should Google tht.
I use MTN. Tho its fixed now. I ran avast again. Went to clear cookies and restarted my fone. And wikipedia started loading after a week of writing empty error.
