A member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Muhammadu Magoro and his supporters move to dump PDP for APC

The senator representing Kebbi South Senatorial District Muhammadu Magoro is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), close sources told Daily Trust yesterday.
“A committee will be set up to discuss with General Muhammadu Buhari and APC national leadership ahead of his defection to the party this week,” another source close to Magoro said.
Magoro is a member of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) and one of the 11 aggrieved governorship aspirants. He was absent at last week’s reconciliation meeting with Vice President Namadi Sambo in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
Magoro is said to have succumbed to pressure from his supporters and a strong delegation led by former governor of the state, Senator Adamu Aliero, which has also visited him at his Kaduna residence to convince him to join the APC.
Efforts to contact Magoro proved abortive as he did not respond to calls and text messages sent to his phone.
Running mate to Kebbi APC governorship candidate, Samaila Yombe, APC Senatorial candidate, Bala Ibn Na’Allah and former House of Representatives aspirant, Sadeeq Sule-Iko Sami, hailed the development.
The State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Sani Dododo, when contacted on phone said: “Anybody who wants to join us in APC is welcome.”
State PDP Acting Chairman, Alhaji Bello Doya and the Secretary Ibrahim Arzika Bui could not be reached for comments as calls and text messages sent to their numbers were not responded to.

Selfish fellow in PDP will still be a selfish fellow in APC, this goes to show that our politicians do not care about the people but themselves alone...

He is joining the APC not because he believe that PDP is a failure party, but because he failed to grab the governorship ticket of the killer party.
These men are only after their personal interests.

He is welcome though.

You probably have a point with the part bolded but Nigerians must be open-minded enough to know that this is the first time we have a National party that can match PDP in every ramification

Some people joined PDP due to the fact that ACN,ANPP and CPC of the past do not have the National spread to curtail PDP but going forward with all the alignments,realignments,decamping there will be a rejuvenation of ideologies

APC is barely 2years old when compared with the PDP......by the time Gen Buhari becomes the President( By God's grace) and delivers an outstanding performance via laying of solid anti-corruption foundation......Those who are naturally not comfortable with his incorruptible and discipline style will be forced out and a new breed of ideologically driven politician will now be birthed at both sides of the divide and Nigerians will now know the party that means well for them and the one that should never be touched with a pole-vault pole
