This is a spoken word poetry I wrote just recently. Feel free to drop your opinions, encomiums and criticisms (hateful or constructive..lol). This is my first post on this forum so pardon me if its in the wrong section. Enjoy! See them smiling and looking all so happy Mermaid bride in her immaculate white gown Groom looking ever so dapper in his tux What right do they have to be so happy? Is it real? Is it fake? Who cajouled who into this union or was it a union made in heaven? Was he trapped with a being growing in her tommy the day she forgot to pop her morning after? Did cupid really hit her with his arrow or is it just ‘cause of his money? I bet you all that happiness is being feigned Union of convenience! They think the life outside of this magnificent reception hall is a bed of roses. Ha! How long? How long before all that fake smile wears off? How long before that once firm breasts starts to sag with cellulite all over her behind? How long before he gets bored and starts to wink at Caro? How long?
