Boss lady, the time frame for getting a job in Australia is subjected to location. Queensland generally is tough to secure a job except Brisbane. The tip for getting a job is to download gumtree app on your phone and check the site every 5mins because the job on gumtree is first come, first serve. Lastly, seek website is good for professional job and not unskilled job. I got my first job 3 weeks after my arrival but most of my folks in Gold Coast got theirs around 2 months. to reintrate,location matters.

Pls i want to confirm if someone can actually withdraw the equivalent of Aussie dollar in Oz from his Nigeria bank account using a master card in an ATM. Although I asked my bank(GTB) if its possible and they said, Yes. I just want confirmation from those tht withdraw using a Nigeria master card in OZ ATM. A friend told me it didn't work while he ws in Dubai sometime ago. Tnx

You can withdraw with your mastercard/visa card, but it would not work at all the ATMs or POS. So your best bet when you arrive, is to withdraw and pay into your local bank account to minimise having issues when using the card. Was embarrassed once at the supermarket, card refused to pay during checkout. I jejely dropped their kaya and vamoosed

But note that daily withdrawal limit of about $500/day and charge of about $4/withdrawal apply.

Confirm the exact charges/limits from your bank.
