I will agree that sending corrupt poticians to jail is not going to be an ideal solution to corruption.

Okay now, has jailing or killing of thieves reduced robbery? NO.

Has jailing or killing of BoKo Haram reduced terrorism in Nigeria? Of course not!

When one is caught stealing or doing criminal act and one is pardoned, that person lives to advice others.

Lets take for instance, when Buhari sent most of corrupt official to prison during is regime has that stopped corruptions? No, infact corruption multiplied when he was dethroned.

If we say corrupt politicians should be sent to jail then jail should await most of us cos we all have practiced corruption in one way or the other. Corruption is in the blood of all of us not just the politicians. It is in the teachers and pupils, lecturers and students in North, South, West and East.

The problem with us all is that we are too impatient.

It takes time for error or positive change to be observed. A building can take years to be erected but when it is about to be destroyed, just one day is enough.

Remember, destruction is easier than building just like attacking is easier than defending.

We should not be this blind claiming that the President is not doing anything simply because he is not from our religion or tribe.

I am not blind cos i know that he (The Predisent) is doing everyting he can to move the nation forward. Even some of his acheivments i have seem them. And if you have not seen them then u never cared to see them.
mr man even in america corrupt people are tried and if found guilty are sent to jail.the more u try so hard to justify ur masters clueless talk the more u sound silly.

I am personally not against the presidential pardon for corrupt officials since they will quickly become change agents who will tell others that corruption is bad.

But I will like to ask Mr President what he will do to the families of people who have become victims of their corrupt activites?

Many people have died because there are no drugs in the hospitals, how will you comfort the people who their parents collapsed waiting on the queue for their pension that had been diverted, how will the families of the 18 job seekers in abuja and other venues be comforted or their loved ones returned?

Mr President, technology makes corruption even easier....

Like I said if we stress that politicians should be sent to jail for corruption then u and i should be ready for jail as well. Because, u cant deny that u ve been pure ursef likewise many other Nigerian citizens. Most of us have taken part in this corruption directly or indirectly.

We should knw that the President is talking about rebranding of Nigeria not dictating.

The best thing here is how is this problem going to be solved cos majority are in it. And you want few to be jailed? Haba now.....

I know we clamour for change but pls we should be patient cos Rome was never built in a day.
Rebranding Nigeria by pardoning thieves who stole billions?

You know what they call a precedent? If the president wanted to truly fight corruption the way you advocated it he should start by freeing those who stole chickens and were given 10 years jail time. Your talk is even so irritating I feel like gosh...

Patient. ..while thousands die from Hospitals that are not built or empty with no drugs because of corruption, or thousands killed in road accidents due to their bad state ?

Or is it Security money that's to protect citizens but being used to enrich Service chiefs while the president tells us stealing is not corruption and looks on helplessly?

Maybe you tell that story of patience of yours to the kid who would go to bed outside in this chilling cold on a newspaper sheet in an uncompleted building somewhere in the NE of Nigeria because he just lost his parents to the senseless insurgency that the president is supposed to deal with but got no balls to deal with because he is corruption personified.

Rome was not built in a day, but they had a vision of where they were going and worked step by step to get there. And mind you they never built it with faulty inner walls and decorated it with sh.it and labelled it gold and announced to the whole world that they their were building paradise.

So get that talk out please because it's nauseating that someone who saw the four walls of a school would reason the way you have been philandering up and down on this thread.

Some pple will come online here say whatever they like honestly. I can bet with my life 98% of those pple supporting GEJ here can not come out boldly in their HOOD to campaign for him
I couldn't imagine my self seeing an incumbent president who COULD NOT say just one achievement he had rather than saying "THEY SAY WE HAVE NO PLAN" and @ the end of his story he will still say "D present administration is PLANNING to do this or that" without pointing out one just achievement that "NO que in the petrol stations"HAaaaaaaa JONATHAN for 6yrs its only the long que u could solve in NIGERIA
If GEJ happens to be the point of reference to PHD in nigeria I will rather have OND than what he his holding when he can't defend it with good constructive Manifesto
I pitty person wey sen GEJ to school the person don waste money
Re: President Jonathan's Quotes At PDP Rally In Ibadan by lakesala: 10:36pm On Jan 12, 2015
GEJ has been tested and he failed woefully. I think what nigerian masses in dire need now is change in Aso villa in FEBUHARI 14th. #GMB is d agent of d said change. Nigerians especially youths must vote wisely, dont sell your right for rice.

Dear Nigerians,

The fear of Prison is the beginning of Change. I have taken time to hear from many people in PDP campaign groups. I have observed that they are not campaigning based on issues bothering the masses. They are simply asking ; "DO YOU WANT TO GO TO PRISON? " President Jonathan asked the question, Governor Akpabio asked the same question and so many of them were so much campaigning against prison. Now I am wondering why they are so much worried about prison. Why the sudden fear of Prison? The answer is: " when dry bones are mentioned in a story, an old woman becomes very uncomfortable " If they are not corrupt and are really fighting corruption. Why are they so much preaching against prisons?

Now I understand why former governor of Bayelsa was pardoned. I understand why "corruption is not stealing" and I understand why the audit report on missing $20 billion won't be released. I understand why we have more expensive GEJ bill boards than road signs. Some billboards cost more than a million and these people have mounted thousands of them. Instead of channelling resources appropriately. They resorted to wasting them on billboards and jingles on radio and TV. Who has been funding these things and with which money? Now they are asking us, the suffering masses if we want to go to prison. President Goodluck from his speech has shown that he is not ready to stop corruption. You can't stop corruption without sending people to jail. I don't fear prisons and if I commit a crime I should be given the punishment I deserve. Why are there laws if we can't use prisons?

They have suddenly become so afraid of Prison cell. They should also remember God Almighty also has a prison : HELL. If you want to help PDP please vote them out. Let them go to prison cells so that they will repent and avoid HELL.

Re: President Jonathan's Quotes At PDP Rally In Ibadan by macodollar: 10:58pm On Jan 12, 2015
Look at it, there was a time there was an argument about pension fund – such billions. Who is talking about it now ? Billions and we were hearing it … from
excess crude oil money, where is the impact of the excess crude oil money ? Now from oil boom, it has met bad luck; it’ s now oil doom. If my father will be my leader and my siblings will all die, let a stranger be my leader and let my family be. All I’m trying to tell you is that we have not entered into any covenant with anybody. Last time, the First Lady came here. We are not partisan, we welcomed her. We did a spiritual drama here. Lifted four birds to fly up, the main one that should fly up refused to go. I did everything possible and that one is the healthiest of them all but refused
to fly and the spirit of God said, don’t disturb him. When God rejected Saul , David took over. Let me tell you: in the history of Nigeria, we have never
experienced bloodshed as we have in the time of Goodluck. If Goodluck means bloodshed for Nigerians are you waiting until your own blood is shed? We need change, however God will do it. Look
at the insecurity if you go to the northern part of Nigeria.
