babyosisi: Ma'am, Jonathan's Children(biological) are schooling(primary and secondary) in Nigeria, quite right, they are schooling in Nigeria because no Parent would want to send a child to Primary or secondary school abroad. I can bet you that once both kids are graduate from High school, they will all be flown overseas for the university education. It is also worthy to note that Buhari's isn't penniless as most pro-jonathan warriors paint him to be, being that GMB is a retired General of the Nigerian Army also he has occupied serveral positions in the Nigerian Government before. Ma'am Osisi, I also want to let you knw that schooling abroad, London particularly, isn't that expensive! I am the sole-sponser of my kid brother who schools and lives in Coventry-UK, yet I am a Federal Civil Servant. Then why is everyone making a fuss about the Ex GCFR having a daughter schooling abroad? Should you decide sending you kid to a foreign university tomorrow and your husband decide contest for a political position would you be seen as a "Fraud" hell no? (Pardon for mentioning your Husband). Meanwhile, Vote General Muhammadu Buhari for President! God bless GMB God Bless Nigeria Peace 2 Likes |

OP, First of all where is your source? In any case, Buhari declared his assets he has 5 homes and 150 cows amongst other assets. His wife also runs her own business. He is comfortable and like many other hardworking Nigerians he may be able afford to sponsors his children to study abroad, It is sensible to prioritise education of his children. Any Nigerian that can afford to send their children to good university abroad, would do so. Nigerian universities a pathetic. 1 Like 1 Share |

trapangels: The presidential system of government is not good for our country ,it is expensive and breed corruption ,it is a do or die affair because the winner takes it all.The best candidates cannot win an election with this system. So you have to build bridges and reach agreements with different parties. But GEJ must make promises and actualize them. You cannot privatize a critical aspect of your economy 100% .electricity is very important for production and manufacturing ,the real economy is the production of goods and services for export and local consumption .Look at the shoes you are wearing, the shirt down to your briefs are not produced in Nigeria. So are we really stupid.4000 megawatts in a country of 170million.with all those your text book economist telling use nonsense everyday. |

Clemzzz: Be objective for once. Can you actually afford paying school fees in UK and your parents left you here ? Smh for Nigerian youth. If they tell you that Buhari is poor, ask them how much his bullet proof land cruiser jeep sells in the market. I am talking about his personal car he uses in a convoy before the elections came about.. Not APC sponsored movement.. |

Geeweeny: No mind the mumu boys. They have never come close to seeking admission in a UK university. That is why they can continue running their mouths about market women schooling their wards abroad.. One needs to set aside N20m to bag a degree in a UK institution without scholarships. 1 Like |

Promhize: Surrey is a low class university in UK. Check for fees in Oxford, Cambridge, and Robert Gordon University. Some APC boys here claim market women can pay school fees for kids in UK universities. Our people are so wounded by hunger and blinded from the truth.. 1 Like |

Re: Zahra - Buhari's Daughter - Lives & Studies In The United Kingdom by OneNaira6: 9:24pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
mrmetoo1: Do you honestly think she got in through scholarship? Or paying her tuition through scholarship. Granted it is possible for Nigerians, be it rich or pauper to go through school aboard, majority of the kids you described are not shopping in chanel or gucci. Neither are they paying hundreds for photoshoot. Let's think about it, the girl has to live in an apartment or house depending on where her father puts her at..depending on how nice it is will determine her monthly rent, internet, light, water, etc bill, then school books, food, car and gas depending on whether she drives. If she doesn't, daily transportation fee and much more. Let's assume she's paying her tuition by scholarship, what about the rest of her living expense. Her father claims he barely have much therefore, someone in her predicament wouldn't be shopping in stores too expensive for the average person. Btw: student aid is meant specifically for students that are citizen. A Indian friend of mine is a 4.0gpa student yet till date, he's not receiving student aid. Loans and school scholarship, yes but the boy still have to hustle. The government refuses to help since he is not a us citizen. Idk if the policy is the same in uk. |
Re: Zahra - Buhari's Daughter - Lives & Studies In The United Kingdom by OneNaira6: 9:30pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
For those arguing about how her dad pays for her tuition, as long as her school is approved by different banks, she's eligible for loans so maybe that's how he pays for her tuition if we believe his story of being an average Joe man. With that being said, if that's how he's going about then most definitely, Buhari is the worst person to rule anybody. |
Re: Zahra - Buhari's Daughter - Lives & Studies In The United Kingdom by mrmetoo1: 9:44pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
OneNaira6: I see a lot of assumptions here, even what I wrote earlier are all assumptions. I can't pronounce Buhari innocent out guilty based on what we don't know. All I did was to provide a scenario without having to spend that much. Then I'm sorry where did you guys see the Gucci or Chanel? I've been seeing that story around but I've just decided not to comment. I've looked at the picture she's in a store and I don't see Gucci anywhere so how do you guys know it's a Gucci store? Then you're totally and absolutely wrong that financial aid is meant for only citizens. When you ask me if I think she's on scholarship, my simple answer is why not? As long as she's bright she might be eligible. Student housing was also provided for honor students in my school with a meal plan. In most cases this honor students got the best accommodation in school. |

mrmetoo1: Permanent residents in the US qualify for almost anything. Is the girl a resident or an international student? That is the million dollar question. My guess, she's paying CASH. |
Re: Zahra - Buhari's Daughter - Lives & Studies In The United Kingdom by mrmetoo1: 9:52pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
Weah96: What are you saying? Permanent residents qualify for anything, who disputed that? What I'm saying is international students too get financial aid well. I thank God you said "guess" you don't know. We all can "guess" whatever story makes us sleep better |
Re: Zahra - Buhari's Daughter - Lives & Studies In The United Kingdom by OneNaira6: 10:02pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
mrmetoo1: I'm in school in USA. For each year, I have to prove my citizenship in that country before I receive any form of financial assistance from the government. If you do not have a social security number or permanent residencies or came in as a refugee or haitian , you are not eligible for financial aid. Foreigners can receive financial assistance from the school alone or private company, but not the government. And for those form of assistance, the students has to be the best of the best. Even then the assistance they give cannot pay the entire tuition 95% time unless the students got in with a full scholarship from the school.

Re: Zahra - Buhari's Daughter - Lives & Studies In The United Kingdom by Weah96: 10:05pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
mrmetoo1: Really? I didn't know that international students qualify for aid. My close friend in college was an international student, and his father paid his tuition with cash wired directly to the school. He was always complaining about how lucky I was. I was under the impression that an income verification letter from a sponsor is required before the student even travels abroad. |
