Thank you all for your help and comments. Gotten admission notice, although I don't like the course so I'm still holding out for other schools I have/will apply to...

I know I will be accused of putting the cart before the horse, but please, someone over there should tell us prospective students what the job prospects are over there with respect to graduate (MSc) jobs after the completion of the degree... Your input will be kindly appreciated.

Thanks

Application is online. I had applied before I came across this thread. Don't like the course so I think I'll pass. The main reason I applied was to 'test my mettle'. Most of the nice courses (IMO) start in the winter, so will be putting in for the WS.

Goettingen is quite a top school. Is the program that 'bad'?
Anyway, welcome to the WinterSemesterBRT. Cheers!

ITIS. Yes, it's online for the application stage. you will still need to send the hard copy after it has been confirmed.

I know it is. The course is not that bad, just don't like it. Though I'm holding out for Darmstadt and Bonn, and if possible, Hamburg.

I noticed that the interviews in the US consulate are now done via public address system

Some of the consular officers do not turn off the speaker when interviewing and everyone in the interview room (hundreds of people) can hear your personal details

like how much do you make? what you do for a living? who are you going to see in USA? what are you going to do?

even when you're denied everyone can hear

Do Nigerians feel happy about this? or is it just more of the shabby treatment we've gotten accustomed to...

Hello...you can get the information you need from daad.de . Just narrow your search by ticking the course or field you are interested in. You should have a plethora of schools to choose from.
I will advise you to continue reading this thread as you stated you have already started. Start from at least 250. You should have most of the info you need there.
Enjoy!!

It has been said that education in Germany no be small thing, so its expected for most of them to be absent when school is on.
If you've taken your time to read pages back, you will know your question as been answered extensively from people from different cities.

Eke40seven:

Junipro, has given you a first hand, 'on-the-scene' report. Since he is in Kassel, which is not more than a 30-45 mins ride from Göttingen. you can trust his opinion.
From what I gathered from someone who once roamed lower Saxony, and around North Hesse, you can be sure to learn posh German there. They are not very big cities, just above the 100k mark. Kassel of course bigger. Göttingen is a uni town, the uni is more popular than the city itself, which implies that it caters to its own kind of population.
The only challenge with Kassel is that you must only survive in Kassel if you depend on your semester ticket for movement because its a bit far from other important places where your ticket covers like Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Olfenbach, but in Göttingen, there are other far more closer places you can explore your semester ticket with to look for job opportunities like Hildesheim, Salzgitter or if you wanna move more than an hour, Brunswick, Wolfsburg and Hannover.
As I said earlier, junipro is your man, he should be more informed.

I wanted to address someone who talked about 2.2 results, but his post missed like a magic wand. grin
To whom it may concern, the issue thou art faced with is not the classification but the actual CGPA figure. Note that a GP of 3.4/5.0 is 2.2 but am sure one with such wouldst get an admission with that result comfortably, of course with a good motivation letter I.e if demanded in the first place. Many schools will ask for a 3.0/5.0 or better. I have seen lesser though but of course, you need a good supplement like work experience and GMAT or GRE in some cases.

Whichever way, let your motivation letter be absolutely perfect.
if you have a Bsc background in architecture or URP and your GP is lower than 3.0/5.0, holla at me let me fix you up with a schl, but its in the east, and they pay some tuition.

God bless y'all

You have been told to patronise NIPOST offices at the airports or near the airports boss or you would wait forever. My friend in Benin, a member of this thread confirmed that he uses the NIPOST on airport road Benin and it usually takes his post not more than 9 days max, using the NIPOST registered mail. I personally went to collect a key to a poBox at Ikeja (close to MMH) on Tuesday, and I made further enquiries about the registered mail again, and a staff told me that mails leave here and get to Europe in 3 days but would take some more days to reach the specific destinations... Use NIPOST offices near the airports.

I can only speak of KTown as Kaiserslautern is fondly called. Its not an overtly big town or city if you may like to call it. slightly under 100k people. It may interest you to know that more than a quarter of the population are Americans. Why? Kaiserslautern has one of the largest military base in Europe and if you know your German history very well, you should know that military base in Germany equals Americans, I.e the soldiers and their family. Lautern is not your typical German town, Its very Americanized and English is spoken by many of them as a consequence. TUKL is a very nice school too.

If you are dissatisfied with life there, you can go to Manheim or Saarbrücken to drown your sorrows, they both less than 1 hour away on the either side of Lautern. and oh forgive me! good old France beckons, one hour from K'lautern too.
