First, in colour interpretation; white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion.

On the other hand, black is believed to be magic, fear, mystery, formality, death, evil, aggression, rebellion (almost everything negative).

You know what, I think our society ever from the onset, have demanded too much than they can get from the female folks. And these expectations would never be realised until we start stiking the balance.

The bride is expected to approach the wedding bed an innocent, with little or no sexual experience. So, ladies who are not virgins (probably raped, or lost during sport activities or maybe in the days of ignorance) may be made to feel less than standard.

While the groom is supposed to be a Clark Kent on bed so that he can be perfect in the act before the D-day.

Question: 1) Who is this guy supposed to have gotten all the experiences with since the lady is expected to be a virgin?
and
2) Why does the lady wear a gown soo...white and the guy wears a suit soo...black on the wedding day?

I've seen brides walk down the aisle in brown, milk and even BLACK wedding gowns!

If you choose to wear white to feel virginal and pure, wear it.

Whatever! huh

Alicia Keys wore brown to her wedding, so did Elizabeth Taylor. (she wore green as well.)smiley
Oh, and don't forget Britney Spears.
And Tina Turney who got married in black! cheesy
And this is a secret, okay, but a distant relative of mine got married in a brown wedding gown. cheesycheesy

BTW, I've never seen a movie where the bride wears anything other than the traditional white gown.
Just saying. smiley
